yes I did the same thing, but I want to control the sim I've kicked out too, but I have no idea if this is possible. How do I make both households active?

@Lacrymona It's one or the other, you can't control two at the same time. You can flick between them but you can't play more than 1

What is a family bin? how can you move a sim out but still play with them?

Wish we can do this on the ps3/xbox. Once a sim separates from a family they're deleted from the game permanently.

The only thing is, how do you play with both families (obv not at the same time), you can only play with the main family, i got the eldest son to move out so he could start a life with his gf but i dont know how to play with him "/ someone please help :) xx

Someone plz plz plzp plz Reply to this.....I have a mother, father, and teenage daughter living in the same house. i wasnt the daughter to move out, but i do not want to have to control the mom and dads lives. when i kick her out, will i control her too, or just mom and dad?

@BrookesVlog - If you look at the top of the screen when you move (or kick) someone out, you will see a little check box saying "Make active household", as long as that stays on the family you have, you will stay with the family.

I've been trying to move my entire family out, but when i go to Empty lot or House, nothing shows up in Riverview which cant be right because there should be empty houses/lots since I've only got one family. I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem? Are the re like requirements, maybe everyone has to be home to move? I'm not sure. Possible glitch?

I made a house but then deleted the family and made a new sim, but the house was to much so i went to a cheap one and got cash and am trying to move but when i click on house there are no houses to choose from it only says click on destination or something

make sure your sims are all at home when you move, then it should work :)

you put every one in the move out box which is on the righht and chose house or empty lot and at the bottom choose sell or pack furniter

my adult sims wants me young adult(male) to get married but I don't know how to do that. because if i change active family then my promises/wishes will be deleted if i change the active family. and if i do so, then my adult sims won't be able to fulfill that wish. What do I do?

When they move out of town you can (I believe) still call them and invite them to move in with you again. But you wont see them around town or anything like that. I've got a son that's moved out with a toddler child that haven't aged at all but I can still call him up and chat.
