Hi, after I shoot something, I want to upload to YouTube, but on the YouTube, the film is seen with intermittent and image is shaking. Must somehow be converted, and if so, what software? (sorry for my english, thanks)
im sorry dude but any footage compressed under WMV format will lose any respectable quality, i suggest investing in premier pro or avid ! even AE, but its not meant for general video editing
@avgstays I'm Sorry but I tried to edit my D5100 videos with windows movie maker and it said that the files could not be read. When I converted the files the quality significantly reduced so please I urgently need your help. How did you edit it with Movie maker, I shoot with NTSC video mode should I change to PAL or is it something else? Thanks
@cfhfhbg Its codec you need. Nikon shoots in mp4 format (.mov) and for some stupid reason windows doesnt like that format. I tried K-lite codec and it solved the problem. Its free to download.
So I download the codec then what? is there a step by step instruction on how it makes the video work on windows or is downloading it all I need to do for it to work automatically?
@cfhfhbg As far as I remember all you need to do is download and install. It will then automatically work in the background whenever you need it. It will use up more cpu and ram but otherwise thats it.
Nice choice with music from Satch! Do you have any other lenses? I'm really into making movies and I'm looking into getting my first SLR-type camera to use for both video and photos. So far I like what I see, I'm just curious if you feel the need for an upgrade in lens or not.
@astoutj88 An upgrade in lens is very much recommended as the kit lenses has their own limitations. At some point or the other you will have to go for an upgrade no matter what camera you choose. I mean, the freedom with changing lens is what the DSLRs are all about (okay, along with superior image quality and greater controls etc.)
@avgstays Good evening friend, 3 days ago I bought the Nikon D5100 experience in photography and guiding me through the features it has, however no video for set recorded at night and directly connect the HDMI cable tv and looks very land with many dark objects, and little points not totally nitido the video does not look good ...
