  • where in the manual or on the camera does it say 1080p?????????

yep it doesnt and the highest setting on the camera is 1080i

  • Wow that looks awesome. Very cool. I just bought my d5100 yesterday. I can't wait to shoot video with it. I like your video. Thanks.

  • im sorry dude but any footage compressed under WMV format will lose any respectable quality, i suggest investing in premier pro or avid ! even AE, but its not meant for general video editing

  • holy shit!!! thats from a kit lens?

  • Ants are famous, but RIP to them though..

  • 1) can u help me i want to buy DLSR which one is better canon or nikon my budget is around 1000 dollars

    2) after that kit lens which lens should i buy

  • I really like this song , and movie maker is just awsome. I didnt know that u can take a video on NIkon D5100

  • is the 18-55mm capable of F1.8? how low can it go?

  • @est101010 Nope. f3.5 is the highest.

  • i want this camera right now!!!!

  • Amazing! And the way you followed the ants....amazing.....

  • Amazing vid

  • how you followed those ants.. that was really cool ^^

  • I used Windows LIVE movie maker for this video!

  • @avgstays I'm Sorry but I tried to edit my D5100 videos with windows movie maker and it said that the files could not be read. When I converted the files the quality significantly reduced so please I urgently need your help. How did you edit it with Movie maker, I shoot with NTSC video mode should I change to PAL or is it something else? Thanks

  • @cfhfhbg Its codec you need. Nikon shoots in mp4 format (.mov) and for some stupid reason windows doesnt like that format. I tried K-lite codec and it solved the problem. Its free to download.

  • @simon44 Alright man thank you so much :D

So I download the codec then what? is there a step by step instruction on how it makes the video work on windows or is downloading it all I need to do for it to work automatically?

  • @cfhfhbg As far as I remember all you need to do is download and install. It will then automatically work in the background whenever you need it. It will use up more cpu and ram but otherwise thats it.

  • Wow, NICE! Did u use Windows LIVE Movie Maker or just normal movie maker

  • Nice choice with music from Satch! Do you have any other lenses? I'm really into making movies and I'm looking into getting my first SLR-type camera to use for both video and photos. So far I like what I see, I'm just curious if you feel the need for an upgrade in lens or not.

  • @astoutj88 An upgrade in lens is very much recommended as the kit lenses has their own limitations. At some point or the other you will have to go for an upgrade no matter what camera you choose. I mean, the freedom with changing lens is what the DSLRs are all about (okay, along with superior image quality and greater controls etc.)

  • what program u use to mix vids?

    thnx

  • Can you use manual focus during video recording?

  • @AngryOrso Sure, you can. This was done totally using manual focus.

  • What Lense u using ?

  • @MarwanAWareth Kit lens. 18-55mm.

  • @avgstays not bad for kit!

  • Love*

  • nice! live the random ant race :)
