How to put custom Battle Music in Atlantica Online

For those who seek to change voices:

\Atlantica\LANG\***\FXSound\BU­DDY\

Sounds when your squadmates get hit are in "FXSound\BUDDY\"

Have fun with new sounds =)

And a note. If you have other than ENG language, use renamer.bat

1. Create new text file.txt file (if you don't see txt, look for file extensions visibility)

2. Rename it to renamer.bat

3. Edit it

4. Add one line: ren *_ENG.wav *_RUS.wav

Rus is in my case. Your language might be German, right?

i tried to do this and replace all of the .ogg files in the BATTLES folder, but there is no sound when i go into a battle now. any ideas? i converted my mp3s to .ogg and renamed them accordingly but still no sound in battle.

You dont need an mp3 to ogg converter. You only need to rename the mp3's to .ogg, it requires that you have view options changed tho

It's not hacking, it's just changing some .ogg files that don't affect the game in any way other than the music that plays out. If they wanted to prevent this, they would have encrypted the music so that something like that wouldn't have been possible...

Put short, no I can't imagine this being a reason for banning. It doesn't give you ny advantages gameplay-wise.

I did this for every single song in the game. Changed it to Persona 3 and 4 songs. For some reason it matches the game well lol, I even have videos of some gameplay. Makes it so much more interesting.

I found out it is possible to have more then 5 battle songs. You need to go into the folder where the battle music folder is and look for a file called BGSoundInfo.txt open that and look for the line with all the MUSIC_BATTLE written on it find one after it with null written on it and replace it with BATTLE/MUSIC_BATTLE##.ogg and just replace the number with the #'s and it should work.

yea well, i actually came out with the same idea right after I opened the Atlantica folder and saw the BGSoundInfo.txt :D. I also tried if it works with mp3 music, but the game doesn't recognize that type of audio. It has to be .ogg

Yeah ^^ nothing feels more comfortable than hearing favourite music from Final Fantasy when fighting with boss or mobs :D

I'm not really sure if it can get past 6 total. you might be able to add more battle song spots before that 1 in the txt file but I really think 6 is plenty they are rare enough as it is.

I think the max amount of battle themes you can put in is 5. I tried putting in more but have yet to hear anything past 05.

I don't know if that is actually possible, my Windows is German, yours definitely is English, and I doubt the names will be thed same.

And if you are really certain that there is nothing wrong with the files, then I also don't how I can help you.

i noticed there is no.ogg at the end of the files names though but there is none for the originals that were there either plus the songs do work its just random no sound T_t

Songs working randomly usually is because of format or file name, and your files have no suffix because of some system settings that you might be able to change, but they shouldn't interest you anyway if you know every song you replace is an ogg and that you named it correctly.

yeah umm i tripple mega checked mine and still from time to time in a battle no song will play it just randomly happens when i dont hear any music for battle not sure what the problem is T_T

If the songs don't play, it either means the format is wrong OR you spelled the names of the files wrong. Check those two factors, if nothing of these match, then try to recopy the old ones and then see if they play. Something has to be wrong there though

I don't quite get what you are meaning. The tracks in the Battle Folder (except for Colosseum) play randomly in a battle, when you replace the file it won't play anymore (self-explanatory). The music in the other folders that you didn't touch play as they should, no worries.

I actually tweaked a little more music, so now I have my own Title Screen and Dungeon music but that's another thing ;D

No no, in the Battle Folder the music will be played at random. In other folders, like dungeon, it will only play in the dedicated location, the rest will play normally
