  • Jackal made a mistake at :25 secc,he turned left and immediately turned right...lion caught him..had he continued to run turning left,he could have escaped..

  • Jackals are fast, but not faster than lions.. normaly lions ignore jackals, but it in this place that they are looks like there is not very animals around to hunt..

  • @reryns Actually, if you read the description, one of the lionesses kept trying to be affectionate towards the male lion when he just wanted his alone time. Eventually, he got fed up with it all and decided to take it out on the jackal. Talk about kicking the dog, huh?

  • @critterfreek82 when I made my comment here there was not that description..

But yeah.. now it make sense..

  • That's really strange. Jackels can run away from Leopards, this one must have been lame because they are much faster than Lions

  • this is a jackal , there are known to roam around top predators like lions ,hyenas , leopards . Foxes are smart animals & won't get close with dangerous predators

  • it wasn't jackal or fox.. tha'z a mice :p

  • Àccepted, i'm always amazed when life and death can be decided on a whim rather than an evolutionary plan. I think the lion needed a prize for the females, he had a motivation not normally present.

  • no evidence that was a jackal it ran more like a warthog piglet only kidding nice footage

  • @rabmac63 You can clearly see that it`s not a warthog piglet. It is indeed a Jackal. I need glasses (they`re in my pocket, lol), and i can still see what it is.

  • no evidence that was a jackal it ran more like a warthog piglet

  • Hmm ... I thought jackals could out run and dodge lions with their agility. Evidently not this one.

  • @kenwanders They can sometimes outdodge a lion, but they cannot outrun a lion. Lions have been clocked, reliably, as 35 - 45 mph.

  • I'm surprised, I thought the Jackal would easily get away with such a head start.

Don't they often hang around lions while they eat. But maybe different dynamics apply at different times.

  • @michaelmjharris Lions are generally faster then Jackals. They can outmanuever a lion sometimes, but they are still a bit slower.

  • nice job mufasa!

  • Great, looks as if the lion did this for the movie
