There is already a Palestinian state; it is called Jordan. There is no need for a 2nd Palestinian state. What W Bank lands? A bank is a thin strip of land alongside a river or lake. The so-called W Bank extends over 1/2 way from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. Why not use the correct names, like Ephraim & Manasseh?

1) The nation of the nation is Israel. It ends in -el (not -al). which is one of the words for God in Hebrew.

2) How do u know that not a single word in the NT says that Israel wud become a nation again?

3) Can u list any NT prophecy about the end times in which the nation Israel is not present? Have u read Mat 24-25? Acts 1? Romans 9-11; Revelation (e.g., chs 7 & 14?)

4) By referring to "Isreal," u suggest that u know little about Israel.

Where is a scripture to prove that all believers are "Isreal" [sic]? Certainly not Rom 10:3.

What leads u to believe that the Church has always viewed itself as the replacement of Israel? The Bible does not. Paul in Rom 9-11 does not. I do not. How do u know what the ENTIRE ref believed? Can u prove that the Anabaptists believed that? What about the "Trail of Blood" believers who were never Romanists nor Prots? U may be able to show that in most of the ecclesiastical lit of the papists JUSTIFICATION BY FAITH was not believed. But they are NOT the Church.

@Thunkful2 ...Dispensationalism was virtualy unheard of in 1956, those ideas of biblical exegesis were limited to small groups of snake handelers and holy rollers. Methodists, Presbterians, Episcolpalians, etc, etc. all taught historism. There is good reason for that, Futurism was developed in Rome by a Jesuit named Francisco Ribera, as a method to stall the Reformation who had identified the Papacy as the 1st beast of Rev.13. Wycliffe, Luther, Tyndale, Calvin, Huss, Zwingle all beleved that.

Have you heard of Judge Joel Jones of Philadelphia (Presbyterian) & George Peters (Lutheran), and Lewis Sperry Chafer (presby)? What's your proof?

Actually, Dispensational interpretation is an essential Christian hermeneutic practiced by most Christians of most denominations. I don't know any Christians trying to do animal sacrifices -- that was for them back when, not us. That is the essence of Dispensational interp. The idea that while all Bible is God's word & for us, it is not all TO us for us directly to obey. Despite that, many Chrs have confused Israel & the Church.

If you want to establish a true doctrine, the place to go is the Bible, not so-called "Church History," which BTW I have taught at university level. Yes, Darby did promulgate the diff between the Church & Israel. Moody was an evangelist who promoted not going to the theater (no doubt quite contrary to papists & prots). I don't recall him being big in dispensational theory.

Modern history says something by the return of Israel & its national revival.

@noimplant4me ..For a much broader picture, read the whole book of Romans, rather than build an entire theology around a single verse. Try to make a distinction between Isreal of the flesh... Rom. 11:7 and spritual Isreal ...Rom.11:26 The people that believe and follow Jesus....are Isreal in the last days, not the nation that was re-created by force in 48'. People like Hal Lindsey call this "replacement theology" but if he knew some history it's called Protestantism.

How the term "Protestantism" applies is irrelevant. Spiritual Israel (not Isreal) is a smaller subset of Israel of the flesh, not a group outside of the descendants of Jacob. Read Rom 11 very carefully. Israel's restoration to the sphere of blessing is taught there.

What passage says that Jews are not children of the promise? Not Rom 9. The NT restricts genuine Jews to a smaller part of outward Israel, but does not expand Jews to include those not in the nation of Israel. Curses have a general limit to the 3rd & 4th generation, which has long passed: "His blood on our children" is long past. The Lord's will is expressed in the outcome of wars. Israel conquered the land of Israel by arms (backed by the Lord) in the day of Joshua. Study Rom 9-11
