Researchers aren't stupid- they're not doing this research to find out whether or not pigs have emotions- they are doing it so that when people try to deny that animals have emotions, there will be scientific evidence to prove them wrong. If the researchers didn't think that pigs had emotions, they wouldn't have done this study.
