what do you have to know in regards to software writing to write a complex auto-trading program ? i already know how to trade but don't have any experience writing software or with code

This was the best video yet displaying the capabilities of marketcetera (strategy implementation, forward testing, etc). This has certainly aroused my interest. If you read my name you should note that I'm not an easy task.
