Hey man, I'm a Muslim, and I've been doing the warrior diet or fasting as we call it for the past year more often as well as most of my life.
I personally think the warrior diet is the best diet for humans. I do days of fasting without drinking a drop or eating and some days when I'm not fasting I only eat lightly for example some nuts, and maybe one piece of fruit and water for hydration.
I dont know if you know this already, but Herschel Walker, eats this way. Nothing during the day, and one meal at night. He does pushups and situps. He also says he only sleeps 4 hrs a night. A lot of guys are probly afraid they will get small eating this way, but look at Herschel with a weight of around 212 solid pounds. The guys from 300 also under ate, and look at them. I got that info from their trainers website, Mark Twight.com
@gastrongman Thanks for pointing that out, I listened to an interview of Herschel just now. Another man of considerable stature to note that follows a warrior diet is former Lt. Gen. Stanley McChrystal; he, strangely enough, sleeps roughly 4hrs as well, then runs (or used to run) 12 miles in the morning. If it works for a former 4 star US army general, it should work for anyone.
im about your age and am finding i dont have to eat that much any more . I eat fruit when i get up nothing else for the rest of the day and my workouts are at the end of the day so no preworkout meal ... i seem to have more energy to workout instead of using energy to digest. in the evening i eat my bigger meals lots of greens (romain) some eggs . best thing i ever did was cut out meat . my body feels better than when i was in my 20s. thanks for your vids

there are many tribes to this day that do this warrior diet. In America they have that food chart recommendation for people that does not work. The FDA is ran by big pharma companies who make profit off of peoples health by feeding them lies about what we should eat. There are African tribes that go 2 or more days without eating if they dont catch anything yet they are one of the healthiest people alive. You dont need all that B.S mainstream shit that they feed you. Just eat once a day before bed
@vonhismean Your Welcome......I will say I take a test booster called Pink Magic By USP Labs it has an herbal extract in it and it fights estrogens. I also take a product called Modern BCAAs by USP Labs this is one of the few Aminos that is not sourced from soy. There is a guy on Bodyspace named "TheNaturalOne" and his real name is Chad Shaw he has the best articles/blogs. His workouts have changed my body.
@ALPHAandOMEGA44 I will try to check that out. I have pretty much gotten away from taking supplements and just increasing fruit and veggie intake. Well I still take a vitamin and fish oil.
@vonhismean Those are good. I always tell people the basics....fresh fruit and vegetables. Fish oils also have anit estrogen benefits. Good channel btw.
I do not trust this book and this guy. But I will tell you this, as a follow up to the other video. I stated there that the fitness industry is corrupt. DO NOT USE PROTEIN SHAKES. They are TOXIC. Instead, get your protein from REGULAR NATURAL FOOD. Just get it from regular food. Protein shakes are toxic and destroy brain tissue.
@Elbottoo Most of the commercial products do. However, there are higher quality protein powders that actually provide the body with easily digestible and quality amino acids. Some good ones (that I know of) are Jarrow, Jay-Rob, and Mercola Miracle Whey.
I was trying this method before I knew it was called the "warrior diet". Only been doing it for a week or so, and I've lost a few pounds. After researching the WD, I have found there to be little if any proven scientific basis for some of the claims in the book. So don't believe everything you read.
That said, personally I cant manage eating multiple meals + I graze; it's a bad combination. I'm hopeful that if "calories out" is greater than "calories in", weight loss will occur. Good luck.
@fronkenpoop So do you think the lack of scientific evidence comes from the fact that it a older diet? It got me back to my regular weight extremely quick and gave me tons of energy. Now I'm back to eating whenever I want and the working out helps me maintain it with no issues.
@vonhismean I'm not saying fasting doesn't work. However, there are claims in the WD book that *lack any scientific basis or support*. I don't believe in miracles or faith; I like science because it's *consistent with observation*. I didn't even know about the WD, and just started eating one meal a day to see what happened. It's working for me - but there's no mystery behind it. It's the ratio of calories in vs calories used. Don't eat... lose weight. Its that simple.
@fronkenpoop I think the lack of scientific evidence comes from the fact that the Romans, Asians and alot of older cultures used this diet. Aside from the one meal a day I also snacked on fruit and vegetables all day long. Good luck to you aswell.
@vonhismean Please Google this text (with the quotation marks):
"review the science claims of the warrior diet"
...the first result of which will take you to a begin2dig web site. Although it's a lengthy article, and it is work in progress, there is a lot of useful information in relation to the WD. At least take the time to read the summary. Bye for now.
I have been looking into this diet for a while now but I will I lose weight by doing it? I am going through the Fire Academy so I am trying to gain a bit of weight so I was wondering if it would be at all possible to eat this way and gain maybe 5-10 pounds.
It would be really tough to gain weight unless your really skinny and eating extra protein than the book suppgests. When I went through fire school I needed more carbs to survive myself.
Ori was in the army so a lot of what he says will build strength and make you lean as hell
Actually you can have a muscle workout in 10 minutes, you just shock the muscle.(try it)just pick-up the heaviest weight you can and do exercises like squat, dead lift, bench press, pull ups, pushups. but short and heavy workouts.(10 mins max)
.I was in special forces too,i used to eat only one time of day when on duty as I was a sniper. Its difficult to a have a "dump"so less food=less dumping and a lean body.
