Man, what a hard way to make a living but I'm glad you can see the humor in it. Excellent editing. Very interesting look into what you have to go through. Yes, I agree. Working alone you don't have to deal with office politics and no boss around is always a good thing.
You get used to the work - after a while your muscles get built up to suit what you're doing. Editing - Thanks! I had way too much footage and had my work cut out for me getting it chopped down to fit into 10 min. I was working days for the first year, and I didn't find that there was any real office politics on the shop floor. Good crew - they get along fairly well.
I Used to work in a laundry a long long time ago Now I sit in court all day, listening to people talking, which is very hard on me as I fall asleep a lot.
Wel, it already had a big crack in it (feigning modesty) Thanks! It's summer and this and the previous workplace hire extra help, so I've seen people come for less than a day and we never see them again. It does get hard to find the extra workers in the labour field.
Wow that's a lot of hard work! Yeah, you must be really strong to be able to do that. And the avocado dip idea, very clever! That was a really super video, and a good message :)
Well, with the heat and humidity, I get stronger as the evening goes on, especially if I've been into the hot peppers, onions, garlic... but smell isn't everything.
I prescore the avocado and scoop it out. A friend introduced me to the idea. I find spicy chips go best with the avocado, like Sweet Chilli Heat Doritos or Grden of Eatin's Red Hot Blues with the addition of your favorite hot sauce.
That partof the song really kind of fit in with what I wanted to say, but singing does help keep you from being bored with a repetitive task. My mom worked in a fish plant in Pugwash before I was born, but I never tried it. You have to be really quick to make good pay there.
The one I worked at wasn't paid by piecework but we handled heavy barrels of fish so it was still hard work. Thankfully, now I work in something I like so it doesn't feel like work. The people I work with also make it feel less like work.
I hear you, we have 50 gallon drums of laundry chemicals to change too.
I worked two places through Manpower and finally decided to stick with the lower paying one because of the plant's "culture" fit my personality better. I stayed over 5 years and became lead hand and the second forklift driver.
The heat and humidity is higher than outside too, so it seems harder in the summer.
The one with the mats is 250lb capacity, the wipers is a 150lb unit and the other two with the linen and clothes can hold 85lbs each. The dryers are 100lb'ers and a 170.
I do the same job you do, Ive been doing it for a about 3 months now and man is it hard work. But the people there make it a enjoyable.

Yea, I guess some things are the same no matter where you go. I wouldn't have guessed that a person could get so dirty from cleaning things, lol!

I just came across a convenience store that has the Blair's Death Rain line of potato chips! the XXX Habanero are eye wateringly good.

Sounds like it would provide me days of fun and excitement :D

just remember, especially with Habanero peppers, to wash your hands really well before using the bathroom.

Hehe! I used to sing "Ordinary Day" all the time when I worked at the fish plant. :-)
