The extra "planet" detailed on the Sumerian should not be assumed to orbit our sun. I'm open minded, but the thought of an extra (and by believer's descriptions, extremely large) planet is simply unreasonable.
The image depicts someone of a celestial or otherwise extra terrestrial nature, so why not include their planet or sun in the image. Being open minded is fantastic, but healthy skepticism will keep one from being completely naive. There's still a lot of BS out there.

When people treat fiction (especially ancient fiction) literally, they miss the point. Both if they think its fact and true, or that it is fact and false. Truth and value of those stories is not that they are factual, but they poetically describe our lives.
