My dad stopped paying in October because he didn't have as much time to play it as he used to, and so I got cut off too. Now when we talk about WoW, he says he misses it too, but now we don't have the extra $180 a year to pay. One day when I get a job though, he can bet I'll be saving up and taking his account. Haha, one day... :)
@likemeng Yeah, after watching Avater I felt a LOT of World of Warcraft in it. While the premise for Avatar predates World of Warcraft, the game itself predates the Avatar movie by over half a decade.
I have a question people. I'm 99% sure I heard a BEAUTIFUL version of Arthas my son, which was completely orchestrated and powerful [this one with no vocals] does that exist or did I imagine it? if it does which track is it on?
if any warcraft score should be brought to life with a real orchestra it should be WCII Tides of Darkness, but I have to admit this is pretty good stuff too
I don't play WoW, but I do love the WarCraft franchise and really like its music. This is a really awesome compilation. I think my favorite has to be "Arthas, My Son", but that's probably because it reminds me of the epic cinematic where it plays :P
its too bad the end-game is just too much raiding, phat loots, pvp, and guild drama for many people to actually sit down and enjoy the music. i myself didnt start appreciating WoW's music until after i quit :(
Indeed! One of those lost little teasures in the game many people never get to hear because they have probably turned in game music off by the time they enter the Emerald Dragonshrine for the first time. Everyone should turn game music on and head over there to hear this amazing score at least once.
It's actually the same music that plays in Sholazar Basin. So I think more people get to hear it than you think. Even so, I really don't understand people who turn off their music while leveling. Getting to hear the game music makes the leveling process so much more enjoyable. (:
@RhythmDramatist No, that is incorrect. First this is not evenstar, that is composed by Howard Shore. This is from the the people who do the music for wow, all their music is original composition. This is what sets it apart from most to all mmo's.
Yeah, nothing will ever top that first romp into Blackwing Lair even while Razorgore's adds were still bugged! BS and WotLK have added a vast new dimension to the game, but us WoW "oldtimers" will always remember the good old days of vanilla WoW.
Welcome to Doomhammer Air. Please take a moment to review these safety instructions. In the event of a sudden loss of power your mount will have passed out. Bail from your mount! Deploy your parachute cloak within 100 yards of the ground or risk death by crater. We do not provide air sickness baggies on this flight. If you have to chuck you lunch please do not get it on your mount, they don't like to be bathed.
It is a part of a longer score, but after that climax it begins to sort of ramble off. I decided to cut it there mostly because of the 10 minute limit for videos here on YouTube. Glad you enjoyed it regardless.
What's the first song? Rise of the Vrykul isn't its title...

are you 100% sure that the first song is in fact "Rise of the Vrykul?" I checked it on youtube, and got a completely different song...
also, I have it labeled as "March" on my sheet music for symphony...

@dozzaskebab It's called the Emerald Dragonshrine. If you look, that's where the video is shot; you can see Ysera's sleeping form in the center.
