So, the real question is here, let say the rules say no elbow but your opponent sort of ran into the elbow by accident, and would that still consider foul play? or just bad luck.

The cut was NOT caused by an "illegal elbow". The cut was from the previous fight against Ricardo Arona.
The ref did not stop the fight "due to an illegal elbow". The fight was stopped due to a legal strike, because it was a PUNCH. No elbow strike was thrown. It was Fedor's fault for slipping his head into the elbow.

I'm with the unemployed black guy, no offense to Fedor but Arona got robbed, almost as bad as Bisping vs Hammil! Fedor was great but times change and this sport has evolved so much over the last decade.
UFC have recruited the best of the best, I think Dos Santos would win as well as Cain, Shane Carwin, Frank Mir and Randy. Though it would have been much better to see the natural vs the emperor atleast 6 years ago.

Guys! Stop riding Fedor's ass and watch Fedor's fight earlier in the tournament. About an hour before this fight,he fought Arona. Arona BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF FEDOR. Fedor was so beaten up that he would have NEVER won this fight against a fresher,younger Kohsaka. Fedor was far too beaten up to continue, yet he came out anyway...he would have lost if the fight went on. This stoppage was a mercy stoppage and thats why Fedor didn't complain.
The rematch is irrelevant.Kohsaka was like 40 years old.

You say Fedor Never complains, but he hasn't been in enough of these situations, so there is insufficient sample size to make an assertion or argument like that. In the 2nd Nogeria fight, the decision actually helped him...thats why he didn't complain. The cut was a fight ending cut that he clearly initiated by diving in head first, kind of like what he did here.

Cóż za idiotyzm. Oglądałem walki MMA w których na ringach można było się poślizgnąć krwią a gosciom krew leciała jak po włączeniu spłuczki w kiblu - a sędzia - zgadnijcie co? -nie przerwał walki! Z resztą mówi się często w potocznej opinii, że to tzw. "krwawy sport" jakoś nikt temu nie przeciwdziała! dlaczego? bo to jest krwawy sport i takim ma właśnie być.
Ten sędzia może sędziować w zawodach sumo ale nie w MMA. Takie jest moje zdanie...

The reason it's a loss it was kinda for both players. in anormal match it would be a win for Fedor but since it was accidental. It would've been a Rematch. But the reason Kohsaka won is because this was a Tournament. Someone had to be Eleminated. Now tell me would they let a Gushing blood cut man Fight the next round? No. It was a Tournament. it looked like Tsuyoshi Kohsaka completely missed a punch without the intent of an elbow throw, and it was because Fedor dodged it by moving his head to the left, the elbow sort of skinned Fedor and that when Fedors head swing back to normal position he 's right side head bumped T.K's arm/elbow away. So, the real question is here, let say the rules say no elbow but your opponent sort of ran into the elbow by accident, and would that still consider foul play? or just bad luck.
