  • yeah, GSP gave you a good lesson :)

  • Hey i'm a fag and this is your queer boy rap tecneque of the week

  • Josh CockStench XD HAHAHA

  • For beginners it's not a good video to learn from =]

  • Double LET Takedown

  • also, his head should be on the other side of buddys body...im am by no means an expert but i think Bj Penn is the better fighter of the two, and he says different!

  • @sensfan10000 thats why bj penn had to go to another weight class he got out wrestled by frankie two fights in a row, if hes head was on the other side he would get tapped out, you head need to be on one side and you body on another... you cant listen to everything you hear person...

  • @camclean135 Umm Bj was past his prime? He was a champion and koscheck never will be.

  • @camclean135 you never past your prime you act like hes 40 yrs old... lol... he just dont want it anymore.. he said he dont want to be the champ anymore he just want to fight big name ppl.. we all kno hes full of shit..

  • @sensfan10000 dude thats my point.. you no expert, mma is my life i know a lot about it, and i wrestled, and i trained at american top team, taking everyone down im only 135pounds, thats how i do my double leg, i think we both know what we are talking about in away, but i dont think anyone is ever past there prime...

  • @camclean135 i really doubt you took everyone down lol

  • ya im no expert, or the world's pound for pound biggest douchebag lol but im going to have to say this looks sloppy and a bit off ...the only time a takedown like this would work is if ur slipping a cross, where the slip sets u up for the takedown...Otherwise your always supposed to take a penetration step with ur lead leg in the middle of ur opponents leg, not to the side like show above. Source: Bj Penns book of knowledge

  • I like McDonalds.. Thats is all.

  • hey hillelslovakrip you stupid retard if koscheck is a one sided fighter why did he knock out frank trigg, dustin hazlet, yoshiuky yoshida, and also submit anthony johnson. lets talk about that dont say stuff you have no clue about also he is a nice guy you just buy into all this stupid shit that people say.

  • @shintoshi2 lmfao josh koscheck is the pound for pound biggest douchebag in the ufc and mma in general. what u think koscheck being a douche is some big hoax? maybe that fuckin clown wig on his head is fake to???? hmm??? this isnt WWE bud.

  • looks so easyyyyyyy :((

  • @a2djzZz yes its easy but for ur opponent =) oponnent is gonna choke u da fuckout

  • @Farrux888 yeah agreed

  • josh is a good wrestler but a one sided fighter and honestly a giant douche

  • thumbs up if your watching this cuz your about to get in a fight

  • Really nice....

  • The technique is pretty slick, esp. after changing levels against the ropes or the fence.

  • The technique is pretty slick, esp. after changes levels against the fence or a wall. Takes almost no effort, too.

  • love how he "subtly" advertises xyience XD

  • That really isn't the best double leg I've ever seen... hmm

  • Comment removed

  • I love double leg takedowns. The guys in my gym say mine are really fast. You gotta keep your back really straight when doing it and your head up or you'll get kneed or pushed down.. Also keep your hands up while shooting in or you can get KTFO.. Also keep your head in or you could get Guillotine choked.. Drive your head into their head. And put your hands as low on their legs as possible so they can't sprawl out.. These are the tips I was told..

  • @IPosidenI Why not just make a video response to this video of you demonstrating the technique? just a thought.

  • @kanguesso Well I don't really have a video camera to use.. Also my technique is a little different than what Koscheck uses in this video so I'd probably get a lot of hate and people telling me i'm doing it wrong and I don't need that kind of attention lol

  • @IPosidenI Hahahaha So you do understand the YouTube and internet world, i see.

  • @kanguesso Oh yeah :P

  • @kanguesso Hahaha Oh yeah :P Meant to say Drive your head into their chest***

  • I love double leg takedowns. The guys in my gym say mine are really fast. You gotta keep your back really straight when doing it and your head up or you'll get kneed or pushed down.. Also keep your hands up while shooting in or you can get KTFO..

  • real descriptive explanation there Josh

  • does he train in san jose or fresno now

  • For all you wrestling guys complaining about how this is a bad takedown, this is an MMA takedown so you wouldn't go too low. If you did you'd get kneed.

  • can u get caught ina guatine choke by doing this

  • @STLswany

If you can finish into side controll then theres only a slim chance

  • @STLswany - if you dont tuck your chin, absolutely.

  • um you're all a bunch of tossers, this is an awesome takedown... did you see how he placed his right leg behind the guys left knee? This is a perfect MMA takedown because a normal wrestling takedown would have him place his right leg between the guys legs and lower his elevation to just above the knee, in an MMA fight you will cop a knee straight to the face! This is a great takedown, so quit all your smack talk, he may be an ass at times but he is a great wrestler and fighter.

  • @EweTubee exactly. in slo mo when u see his leg leave the ground, its because that right leg there. it cant work without it there or any lower or you risk the knee fuckin a dude

  • lol double let takedown

  • lol that double leg was terrible

  • what a great double 'let' takedown...

  • this takwdown is for mma not wrestling, when ur fighting , u dont always worry bout technique, u just wanna grab and slam him.

  • The guy may have some talent but it is greatly overshadowed by his bouchebaggery.

  • That takedown sounded like it hurt.... a LOT

  • His core strength is probably so good that he doesn't need to have perfect technique. His neck and spine muscles probably do all the work in knocking his opponents centre of gravity off.

  • what a dickface

  • omfg someone reply is his last name pronounced kohsh-chek or --kahsheck????????????

  • @fallout401 Its Cosh-check

  • If only it were that easy Josh ha this dude is a disgrace to that Double Leg Ill Stick To GSP Vids HAha

  • mmmm sexy josh

  • YOU GOT UR ASS WHOOPED BY GSP

  • He sould take lesson how to not block shot with is face!!!! Good fighter but not even close to GSP!!!

  • Cmon guys, I really do train UFC, I've gone to 3 classes

  • I'm not saying its perfect... but the guy is a Division 1 National Champion out of Edinborough. I'd bet money that no one who has actually commented on this video could defend a takedown attempt by Kos. Even if he is a douche.

  • @MMARawRyan Hey, whats the opposite of a name dropper? If you're "good" friends with josh, I'd love to look you up and see what your career has been like in MMA and grappling tournaments alike.

  • are you kidding me? that is the wotrst takedown ive ever seen. how is this mother fucker a professional?

  • @ognimoddd apparently your stupid ass hasn't taken the time to look at even one of his ufc fights

  • @clewis102010 actually ive seen almost all of them idiot.

  • gsp will murder him

  • this takedown sucks!! The ONLY reason this even worked was because it was a demonstration. He didnt even explain how he did it.. He didnt use his head to push against the guys body, he didnt even take the guys knees out.. When they slow it down you can see that his arms arnt even wrapped around him the guy just falls down. Worst video ive ever seen. Literally.

  • i can't wait till he beats gsp

  • @mikedjmix cant wait till gsp beats him in a good fight

  • @kaliedoscopesharinga can't wait to see you be wrong =]

  • @MMARawRyan Oh, you're right, I'm sorry. Those 9 consecutive wins by guillotine isn't impressive at all and has been effectively defended against in the ultimate fighter. That's why Josh didn't have an "O Shit" face when Mckenzie tapped out his first pick in 17 seconds. Your right, bud.

  • josh i dont respect you you suck, you got beat by ur own student recently.... another thing my middle school team has better takedowns then... what ever that was

  • im not really a hardcore wrestler but more of a jiu jitsu guy....but isn't there more than one way to do a double leg? I could see someone doing the above in a real mma fight.

  • im not really a hardcore wrestler but more of a jiu jitsu gou....but isn't there more than one way to do a double leg? I could see someone doing the above in a real mma fight.

  • @WaitingTurtle tell that to Cody Mckenzie on the ultimate fighter. 9 of 10 wins have come by guillotine submission. he has the most wins by guillotine behind travis fulton

  • @farmingtonfalcon2010 Hm.. Its a rare occassion. Look who Cody Mckenzie has fought for one. Two you're talking about 2 guys or even a handful if you want to be technical, out of the tens of thousands that are in this sport. Good try bud!

  • @farmingtonfalcon2010

ignore the condescending douche who can't seem to find another page for which to spread his seeds of knowledge. but Cody does his guillotine in a slightly modified way(no doubt with the help of those long skinny arms) that's much harder to get out of.

  • GSP has a wayyyyyyy better take down i know josh is just training but in general

  • GAYYYYYYYYYYYY !

  • Um, I have a lot of respect for Josh as a fighter.. But what is with the horrible double leg take down? Horrible way of doing it. You could only land a double leg like that against someone with no ground game. Even 1st years would sprawl away from that. Besides elevation and and the misplacement of the knee between the opponents legs...wait.. is he making a joke or was he serious about this technique?

  • @MMARawRyan I agree with every bit lol

  • @MMARawRyan just wondering, wouldnt the way he put his head leave it open for an easy guillotine choke?

  • @stewbot86 the Guillotine choke is actually a lot harder to get a submission on than most chokes. Normally, when you sprawl away from a take down like that you will push the head down and sprawl out not go for a guillotine choke when the person has your legs for a take down. Ask any real MMA fighter, if you catch someone in the guillotine choke its a rare occasion in this sport.

  • @WaitingTurtle dude it isnt rare to catch someone in a guillotine in mma, it happens all the time. check out cody mckenzies record on wikipedia

  • @WaitingTurtle tuf 2010 guy got it 3 times in a row and then tuf finale again lmao

  • @WaitingTurtle clearly you ahvent seen the ultimate fighter season 12 with cody mackenzie lol. the guy won 9 out of 11 fights with that technique in the first round.

  • @stewbot86 shut up you dont know anything

  • @stewbot86 not if he passes the legs to side control as he goes.

  • @MMARawRyan yeah idk about that a ufc fighter might know a little more then some punk ass bitch on youtube so i think ill go with josh on this one

  • Comment removed

  • @boradashell Woah..Tough words comming from someone hiding behind a computer screen. Obviously you don't know jack about the sport or you would know he was showing a half ass double leg take down..let the "vote ups" speak for itself. Oh yeah, think I am just some guy off the street? Come to the world grappling championships comming up and then we can talk bud.

  • @MMARawRyan national championship?

  • @boradashell lolllllll

  • @MMARawRyan lets see u stop his takedown

  • @MMARawRyan good luck defending if he did it 100 %

  • @MMARawRyan. Dude I agree with you. I have no idea what this was about... I'm guessing he's just being a di*k and showing a move that would never work. lol..

  • @MMARawRyan lol i am sure you wouldnt be saying that when he did it full speed and dropped you on your head

  • @decepiece All I got to say is...you really don't much about the mechanics of this sport then bud. But hey... try this on a seasoned MMA fighter. Goodluck.

  • @MMARawRyan

Lol, I think he knows what he is doing.

  • @MMARawRyan wtf are you talking about? this is a good takedown, i bet you are a shity fighter and you think you are tough just because you watch fights.

  • @MMARawRyan

Yeah he was only an NCAA champion and was able to take GSP down even once or twice in their fight. I'm sure you have better technique though.

  • @TheTokinbudZ I never said he was a great fighter? Read my original post jackass. I basically the video of him doing this take down is a joke. Secondly I know Josh very well and we've trained together in Fresno and in Vegas for a bit. The guy is a wrestling pro. This video however, was fail.

  • @MMARawRyan it was an okay takedown for mma but for high school or college not so much

  • @MMARawRyan this is solid technique for a double I don't know what you think your talking about

  • @MMARawRyan

What are you talking about dude... thats how all the people in mma shoot double legs...

He lowered his level enough to get his head under the guys arms and I have no idea what you were refering to with respect to his leg being inbetween the other guys (its obviously not).

If the guy sprawls well he might not get taken down.. thats like saying if someone moves there head they will never get punched in it. Its a true statment, but doesn't fully explain everthing that is going on

  • @MMARawRyan u r a fuckin idiot he got gsp down that way its good

  • @MMARawRyan you can see its adapted for mma, the way he steps is designed for right handed vs right handed striking although he is the type of guy to agree to do tip of the week and then show a shit technique, all his takedowns in fights are knee taps, not this one lol.

  • @MMARawRyan This is a modified MMA takedown

  • @MMARawRyan r u a 4 all american champion?

  • @MMARawRyan yeah man i remember, you are the all american champion of youtube wrestling! wow kos should definitely ask you to be his cornerman

  • @MMARawRyan Whoever is faster will win.If your quick enough you can take anyone down with that its always about speed. If your take down is quicker than his defence he will be on his back instantly.People get taken down with the double leg take down all the time in mma.And if you throw him off with some punches first it will throw him off and make it even easier. It is easier to ccomplete it than it is to defend it.

  • @MMARawRyan They wot sprawl on it because he set it up with strikes. When throwing strikes you dont have to have a perfect takedown. Why would you even correct an NCAA national champion and former number one contender that took down GSP with his double leg?

  • @MMARawRyan well the whole point of the punches to start off with were to get the other guy off balance and not ready for the shoot, as well as a way to move closer to him and make a faster shoot. but yes he was obviously no going at a 100%, just showing us the move

  • @MMARawRyan Probably coming from a kid who maybe wrestled varsity his senior year in high school. Koscheck was a 4X all american Division I wrestler at Edinboro taking 4th, 2nd, 1st, and 3rd so I'm pretty sure his double leg takedown is legit.

  • @MMARawRyan your a joke dude, stfu

  • @MMARawRyan Yeah, but... you can see that Xyience logo really well with that kind of double-leg.

  • Better than Tito's tip. Good set up and drop.

  • Dont know who this guy is but he is not a good teacher neither is he a fighter by the books -just look at that "hook" , and sry but this take down ...he twists his hands, instead of pushing with his head. Hate being a smartass expecially when he would kick my ass sooo heavy for sure, but just didnt like that video :S

  • people should note that you need to have a good back and back muscles for a perfect double leg. In high school i didnt pull off great double legs until i developed a great back

  • this version sucks leaves u open to guillotine if u watch the tito one he explains it better, put ur head into their sternum not the side of the rib cage unless u like getting choked and losing

  • I TRAIN UFC

  • @zachman0808 its called mma

  • @hitmanash1985 WHAT'S MMA? I'VE NEVER TRAINED THAT, I'M STRICTLY TRAINING UFC

  • @hitmanash1985 dude im just gonna slap you :|

  • @zachman0808 mixed martial arts its a sport dumbass there are several organizations which provide mma,ufc being one of them dickslap!.

  • @hitmanash1985 NO DUDE! I SWEAR! I go to a UFC gym and train UFC, I've never heard of MMA.

  • lol at 1:05

  • tito ortiz have better technique koshcheck can get choke there

  • @cobis13 this would work better in a real fight, no street dude ur fighting is gunna chock you out with a guillotine.

  • Umm. Mr. Koscheck, where was the tip? You didn't explain anything...

  • @adnanabbasi1992 haha ya wtf

  • @82jamz well im effin sorry. unlike your pops who purchased you hooked on phonics (made simple for slow learners) i was not so fortuanate. i had to learn by myself. taught myself how to read and write using sesame street. to tell you the truth i loathe big bird. i mean wtf, why most he be a giant bird. btw i am no douchebag sir. i am a homo sapien.. what you are doing is slander now and i do not appreciate it. now if you were to call me the big dick of the law then that would be acceptable.

  • @82jamz fuck you motherfucker. josh is a great wrestler multiple times ncaa champion and all amerca. wtf have you done bitch besides sit on your ass on the coach?

  • simple but effective

  • @fiendin281 Another great thing about this "version" is the fact that the "standard' version calls for the lead knee to hit the "ground" and the rear leg to step up. That manner is not practical when you are on hard surfaces since you can damage your lead knee. This method is better for real life situations and should be practiced just to get into the habit of pulling it off without dropping the knee.

  • he has such an unorthodox double.

  • @aespinoza00

Yeah, you would know better over Koscheck right?

  • @HwarangOfFaith haha no1 ever said that smart one. Just for an FYI the "traditional" double leg takedown consist of penetrating with your lead leg and then unbalancing the opponent with ur head on the OPPOSITE side of were ur lead leg penetrated.

  • @aespinoza00

wups, i know. I meant to comment at dboy1095's comment lol my bad. I agree, it is unorthodox.

  • @HwarangOfFaith haha its all straight

  • Comment removed

  • @dboy1095

The choke can not occur actually. He makes sure that where he drops, his neck goes across the opposition's body, which prevents the guil. from working. Although, if the put their legs on the other side, then their arm can get the full wrap and yes, he would get chocked out. So remember this for your own fights ^^

  • @dboy1095 thats why he doesnt tighten his arms around the guy he grabs around the knees and seperates them thus not getting gullotined

  • Lol indeed!! Not arguing just saying beginers need a more in depth tutorial!! There are plenty of better vids on takedowns then this one?

  • To each there own tho!! I'm just saying it's alot easier to stuff or sprawl if your power leg is back right? U can push there head down and underhook... Trust me you don't wanna try that on someone who's got a ground game.... Grab the lead leg the cut kids!!

  • Dude you know as wrestlers go most push off there power leg forward !! If your a southpaw that's the right side but Josh is better than a beginer lol either way if you shoot into a choke on the "wrong side" don't say I didn't warn you partner, you can try to cut the coner all you want but if you grab the front leg insted of there back leg you have a higher chance of a takedown!!

  • @piker2007 son i know thats why i said as long as you cut, you jus repeated it lol grappling is all about variation and being creative. I know about chokes Ive been caught in enough and done enough tournaments, I only commented to you because to criticise koscheck doesnt make alot of sense helll shoot takedowns on either one of us all day long lol

  • Leave it to koscheck to teach beginers to shoot on the wrong side lol oh don't worry about a sprawl kids or how do you say.. Epic koscheck fail

  • @piker2007 it's not reallly wrong, you can shoot from whatever side you want as long as your heads on the outside and you cut lol

  • silly face

  • gsp will outwrestle him again....

  • I hate when guys flop to the floor.

  • @Burningrave

Why do you hate when the guys flop on the floor?

  • What is the Dutch flag doing there lol.

  • @Boljarin

The ducth produce some mean kickboxers and muay thai artists. Plus even in at my school we have flags from all over the world.

  • Not as easy as it looks -.-

  • fuck this isnt good enough i have a fight coming up with a guy who weighs a good 250 pounds

  • @unchartedfan818 Just tap X really fast, then Right on the D Pad, that should do it.

  • why not demonstrate how to fake injury to get out of trouble and how to eye gouge? like you did vs. alves, johnson, and daley, and probably others. you should be demonstrating how to be a blatant cheater.

  • @SardaukarNo1 LOL I totally agree dude. Koscheck blows.

  • black kunt

  • Hey, does anyone know why the fighters always put there heads off to the side of the other fighters body on doubles? I think they would get guillotined alot less, and would get the takedown alot more if they would keep there heads in the other guys chest. My wrestling coach freaks if we put it to the side. I think it works alot better if you put your head in the chest.

  • @JiveTurkey12MOFO

your wrestling coach is bad. it's standard in wrestling to ALWAYS put your head to the side. it doesn't work well at all to put it in their chest and you won't see any wrestler who knows what they're doing do it.

  • @p8ntballoc13 Well when i do remember to put my head in the chest they go down alot easier, but i usually put my head to the side too.

  • @p8ntballoc13 Tito Ortiz does it in MMA. Centres the head as an easy way to avoid the guillotine. Of course he's big and strong and so he has his way a little easier.

  • @p8ntballoc13 I can definately understand where your coming from about putting your head to the side for the takedown, but theres been a lot of jiu jitsu fighters and wrestlers say it's bad cause you could get caught in a guillotine.

  • @blublebluble I was responding to putting the head in the chest in a strict wrestling environment. I don't practice MMA, I only enjoy following it. I only know protocol for wrestling, but if that's what they do in MMA it's because it's an entirely different game. but you should always put your head to the side of the torso in wrestling.
