  • 先生(sensei) did not look 83 years old. If he looks that young and fit at that age, I can't imagine how old he can live to.

  • @vvinblog of course!!! Do u c the things hes doing?!? U gotta be extremely alert for that!!! Ill be surprised if he cant break a bears neck with his pinky!!!

  • they didn't cut anything -___-

  • Hes 83? He looks like 55...

  • @vvinblog Lucky asians. Hahaha

  • Toyama Ryu in the background? =P

  • 1:19-1:50 I see now why he is a master. Awestruck art I.

  • I came to watch kendo, not hear some bitch talk

  • haha

some of you are funny...Ken means sword...Shin means nature god etc..

    Kenshin means swordsman.

They use Hibiki Katana without an edge for kata.

I highly doubt ,He's useing a 700 year old sword. maybe 7 years old =)

Iaido is a seperate sword tradition....Kendo is Itto ryu lineage.

I myself don't practice Iaido or have any need to.

  • @kenshin420jj I actually filmed the story and it was a 700 year old sword. It was his fathers and had been in the family for 8 generations.. :)))

  • @kenshin420jj No... kenshi is swordsman...

  • 700yrs old......how many samurai's has that blade sliced through i'll never know....it must've seen many bloody days

  • Thats an old sword... :)

  • ok WTF?? iado? kitana? nice accent...

  • Man That Old Man Is Still Doing It HIs Style And My Style

  • I dont know about everything else in the video but I do know that Katana does not translate for to sword. Katana is not a generic word for sword, it's a type of sword.

  • kendo katas are only 10 in number and limited....all paired...iaido is single "kata" and not usually part of kendo practice..... many kendo "masters" never do iaido and vice versa....looks good on video though....kendo is "sport" form of swordplay in japan and differs radically in form from iaido (which is mostly invented recently after Meiji period anyway and lacks practical application?)

  • Katana is a type of sword, the japanese word for sword is kenshin! ಠ_ಠ

  • Katana does mean sword. L2 watch less anime. It's common to associate with the specific type of sword, but is japanese for "blade, sword" and what have you.

  • Kendo katas are waaaay cooler than iaido katas, can't wait to learn kendo katas.

Btw, does anyone know if there are iaido katas that consists of 2 iaidokas?

  • I heard there where but it's a koryu style that is anly taught onnce you reach a high level. it mainly consist of how to block your opponent with tha tanto or wakizashi.

  • that guy is goign to live to be 120

  • That looks amazing. Very Traditional.

  • interesting
