  • this 'oldfart72' user is obviously a southern troll. has he been up here?

  • I wore Geordie Jeans as a kid! Got them from the metro-centre shop.

  • My Dad owned Geordie Jeans and he thought this video was hilarious. He had no problems whatsoever with the sketch and was very proud it aired on national television.

For those 'in the know' Geordie Jeans NEVER went bankrupt. It got out at the right time while other businesses are now failing with supermarket giants and the likes of Primark.

There were many Geordie Jeans shops throughout the North East, and yes, even in Sunderland. Why not!?!?

Many thanks for all the support!!!

  • Geordie jumpers are better :P

  • I had geordie jeans as a bairn :p

  • nahh i liked ulrika in shooting stars, she was a good sport

  • Geordie Jeans. Available in the South

  • Ye seem to uv sturlen the shur.

  • what advert? i'm using firefox with adblock plus so maybe that blocked the ad for me?

  • who receives the money for this advert? I am a UK licence payer and have already paid to see this content, so why do I have to see a Nissan advert?

  • It's BBC Worldwide, which isn't funded by the licence fee, so it has to be funded by adverts.

  • No it doesn't. BBC Worldwide is funded by the syndication and sale of BBC shows and formats on foreign networks. The BBC World Service features no adverts.

  • Regardless, with it being the commercial arm of the BBC, it's not restricted in the same way a standard BBC channel is. If I'm honest, a 30 second advert is a small price to pay for a lot of quality clips that wouldn't necessarily be otherwise available

  • I take your point, but the problem with advertising alongside creative content is not the petty nuisance of it, but that the interests of the advertiser outweigh the interests of the viewer. The compound effect of this, were it to become universal, would be to prevent the BBC from taking the risks that result in some of the best programmes in the world.

  • @pinkpont The BBC is actually forbidden from making revenue by advertising, thats one of the conditions of its public funding.

  • @SunburntHands Youtube will receive the money I imagine, seeing as it's their server bill that you are using up as you view this material.

  • I wish i was wearing...Geordie Jeans... :-(

  • If this is a BBC video, I DO NOT EXPECT TO SEE AN ADVERT PLACED INFRONT OF IT!!! I'm a licence payer!!

    Still funny video. :D

  • Plenty o' room for me farts ta flow!

  • @themackemboy learn to spell,you scruffy mackem cunt,and get a fuckn wash.

  • There's a reason they have a bit of Boro to their accents. Bobs from Boro and Vic grew up in Darlo. Once saw Vic / Jim in Guisborough. He was dressed down trying to look inconspicuous, while NAncy, his other half, had boots & hot-pants on. Tends to stand out in a sleepy little market town...!

  • I'm sure Georgie Jeans had a shop in Sunderland in 1993.

  • wat yee tarkin aboot like yi divys

  • their accents sound more mackem or middlesborough than geordie like, but still funny as fuck!

  • fuck off they dont sound like they are from boro!

Am curious as jumpers are cool as we all know.

    Pringle is the best.

  • i wonder if they know that they're used to be a shop in the metro centre called geordie jeans?

  • Just to quote oldfart72...

"Bunch of northern thickos, spend there time claiming benefits and nicking cars."

Learn to spell 'their' you thick cunt!

  • its obviously a parody, no one in newcastle sounds that bad...maybe

  • Oh I see, so it does n't have to sound like it, any attempt will do. Okay. Point taken

    Mind you they do sound like that if they are from Darlington and Middlesbrough and living in Nucassul :}

  • haha it's Vic and Bob mate. The fact that their accents are friggin' terrible makes the advert so much better.

  • You are right Darth. Get two suthinars te dee a shite advort and peeple laff.

  • Except they were both born in Yorkshire...

  • Thats exactly what I said. Two suthinars!

  • Yorkshire isn't in the 'suth' of england.

  • Look bonnie lad (used loosely of course)

If you are south of the Tyne you are a southernah from doon sooth. Me mutha was a suthinah and she was from Coonty Durim . You can be an honorary Geordie if you like.

  • I noo where you ah coming froom then, but ahny yorkshahman would nava accept bein cahled a suthernah, tha's all ah mehnt.
