it was suppose to be released that day and was held off. the song today was originally to be on the album and was to be a single. after the record store distributors held off on putting it on the shelves they re-released the album and it was quickly put out as the media had began a hype of the group. now that the kmfdm had got media attention the record stores gave in as they knew people would pay top dollar to have a copy.
Actually, Adios was released on April 20th, BUT .... after information was released that connected KMFDM with the shooters, many distributors stopped shipping the album, and many record stores/chains likewise stopped it's retail sale.
I would know, I skipped school to go buy it at MediaPlay that day :)
in my opinion the album cover was a reflection of the fact that the world was going to pot and kmfdm was done after columbine and the pointing the finger at kmfdm for it happening. i have always held them in highest regard for being able to educate our generation on the corruption and lies our parents and society tried to hide us from. most of what is going on with our government and the banks kmfdm mentioned in their songs long before it occurred.
It's not and has never been a police code anywhere for anything related to pot.

I agree. Witness and Today are my favorite tracks off of Adios, though the album as a whole is amazing. I can't believe it's been nearly a decade since this was released! I remember getting out of class and going straight to the record store to grab this as soon as it was released!
Adios was my first KMFDM album, I didn't buy it on release day but it was damn close. To tell you the truth I miss the "old" KMFDM (pre-Attak) Sascha & Co. sounded much better IMO.

@TheEternalSkeleton nah, both you and the people who worship Eric and Dylan are wrong. YOU are wrong because by calling them "jackasses" and saying "fuck them" you show you have no sympathy and could be the kind of person who bullies people into doing things like what happened at Columbine. THEY are wrong because worshiping E & D is sick and twisted. they shouldn't be worshiped because what the did was terrible and wrong. they should be felt sorry for. I feel so sorry for them.

it was suppose to be released that day and was held off. the song today was originally to be on the album and was to be a single. after the record store distributors held off on putting it on the shelves they re-released the album and it was quickly put out as the media had began a hype of the group. now that the kmfdm had got media attention the record stores gave in as they knew people would pay top dollar to have a copy.

Actually, Adios was released on April 20th, BUT .... after information was released that connected KMFDM with the shooters, many distributors stopped shipping the album, and many record stores/chains likewise stopped it's retail sale.
I would know, I skipped school to go buy it at MediaPlay that day :)

in my opinion the album cover was a reflection of the fact that the world was going to pot and kmfdm was done after columbine and the pointing the finger at kmfdm for it happening. i have always held them in highest regard for being able to educate our generation on the corruption and lies our parents and society tried to hide us from. most of what is going on with our government and the banks kmfdm mentioned in their songs long before it occurred.

It's not and has never been a police code anywhere for anything related to pot.
It's not any amount of chemicals.
It's the time of day the "waldo brothers" went looking for a coast guard member's abandoned patch of pot. These guys referred to it as 420 among themselves and since they knew members of the grateful dead it became popularized.

I agree. Witness and Today are my favorite tracks off of Adios, though the album as a whole is amazing. I can't believe it's been nearly a decade since this was released! I remember getting out of class and going straight to the record store to grab this as soon as it was released!

Adios was my first KMFDM album, I didn't buy it on release day but it was damn close. To tell you the truth I miss the "old" KMFDM (pre-Attak) Sascha & Co. sounded much better IMO.
