  • I have a question is religion a motive?

  • am sorry but religion is just like famly no matter who you look for ,what you do in your house youn will not do in another, religion is not violence,,,,,,,,,,,MAN,,,,,,,,,,,,,, is

  • @deanlelie3000 man is true

  • The three monotheisms are dangerous and enemies of human progress and peace. Our job as human beings is to eliminate superstitions - Judaism, Christianity and Islam are superstitions.

  • @leland61 ...you're never going to beat them so you might as well join one. Choose wisely.

  • Koran Sura 9.29

Fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture as believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, and forbid not that which Allah hath forbidden by His messenger, and follow not the Religion of Truth, until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low.

  • The problem with Traditional Religion, is in the Definition of God.

The Unknown that created all that is and enabled all that can be, in such a Intelligent manner that all teachings conform to Logic is God.

All definitions that claim exclusivity from others are false and designed to control and enslave.

  • China has been good with having three religions co-exist together. The difference is neither claim absolute truth like the strongly ego driven Abrahamic faiths do.

  • @SpazzzDog are you suggesting that truth is not absolute, think about your statement and tell me if what you are saying is absolutely true...

  • @SpazzzDog what then do you suggest one to whom the truth has been revealed should do with it... should they keep it to themselves in the name of 'peace'. keeping quite about the whereabouts of the fire exits in a burning crowded room for fear of a stampede is is a foolish and selfish stance.

  • @mekkanikka -

the atrocities done in the name of religion are travesties indeed and there is no excuse.

But the 2 greatest genocides in the 20th century (Stalin and Mao) were both funded by atheists. Although it was not a holy war, it was an ideological genocide. So be careful casting dispersions.

Atheists can't be on the panel unless you will consider yourselves a religion (which I would say you are, as it is as faith based as any other belief structure).

  • @CalvaryNorthBay Yes. Ideologies of ANY sort taken to an extreme level = war. Doesn't matter what kind it is. If anything, politics is at least as "dangerous" as religion.

  • @mike4ty4 ya i agree with u! anyone will protect their women their childs and serve their god but the question is who is making the first step

  • @mike4ty4 Governments lead by the evil or the idiotic are more dangerous, since governments command armies and police.

  • I have never seen an atheist start a holly war, a jihad or other crusades, but, on the other hands, I have seen the 3 monotheistic religions start wars against the 2 others with the benediction of their respective "god" ....too bad atheism is not being represented in your panel of speakers....It would give a 4th perspective and maybe braoden the discussion on the whole "god" concept...

  • uv neva seen an athiest start a war!!! Have you heard of Stalin and the Soviet Union!!

  • @mekkanikka Hello..what was the religion of Communism ?

  • @mado9111

killing and getting under control as much as possible

  • @mado9111

the only religion of Communism is Juche.
