  • hey kinda old video i know but how much did you sell this horn for? I have the $60 remake klaxon model (the red plastic one) and am interested in one of these, wondering prices ranges.

  • @Stingray7667 it was so long ago I can't remember. But I have heard the plastic one's and feel they are not the same sound quality. But these can be hard to come by. I wish the sound quality of the video was better because this horn was actually quite loud. As I mentioned on an earlier post, I actually recorded the horn from a distance and overlaid the sound on the video. The original sound was completely distorted because the horn was so close to the camera. Good luck!

  • Is it ill?

  • is it for sale???

  • @seviane already sold it, sorry!

  • is it for sale??? I need it...

  • 18 people were wearing headphones

  • Neat, but needs to be adjusted.

  • AHHHHHHHHHHH, the sound of Henry Ford's time

  • How does this video get 89,099 views? Wow...interesting.

  • @XxWaterDancerxX LOL... Honestly ... I have no idea!

  • @XxWaterDancerxX haha i think it's because it is the related video of the scene in The Mask where Jim Carrey sees Cameron Diaz and goes nuts, saying AAAOOOOOGAAAAAAAH

  • holy shit

  • Sad

  • These horns use a motor-driven toothed wheel which ratchets against a metal stud attached to a diaphragm. After all those years, either the wheel or the stud are probably worn to nothing. Replace them and it will probably be much louder.

  • Cool, I always wondered how those horns make such a distinct sound, thanks!

  • I would start by asking how many volts he's using.

  • By the musical pitch of this horn, it sounds like the voltage (i.e. motor speed) is correct. If he were to insert a long screwdriver into the horn and push on the diaphragm while the horn is sounding, it should get louder. That would mean a worn stud or ratchet.

  • Not bad, but this horn seems to act a bit sluggish. Here's an idea. If someone has a collection of Aoogah horns, upload 10 seconds of each one sounding including the brand name and model number. That way, enthusiasts can just visit You Tube to hear what each brand/model sounds like. This can help people decide which one(s) they'd like get. :D

  • I had the same feeling as well when I found it. When I opened it to look at the components inside; all I can say is I was amazed at their condition. The unit did have an adjustment screw that perhaps could have helped, but I am not too familiar with these horns and considering the age, I didn't want to start experimenting with it. So I sold it to an enthusiast.

  • That horn sound funny

  • I think it's sluggish because it's not connected to a suitable power source. I can't confirm that it's just the impression I get

  • Agreed. It was just a little lantern battery I connected it to. The guy I sold it to had know complaints though so I suppose the sound improved once he installed it in his vehicle.

  • @Batslug22 ahooga horn enthusiasts..? :(

  • wanna sell it?
