Speaking of beatdown Mitchell got his ass handed to him. Not only did Schenn get put on his ass again but Mitchell took a beating for his efforts to.

John Mitchell is not a fighter. and i wouldn't say he got his ass handed to him. looked like a draw to me maybe a slight edge to Ruutu.
the fact that Mitchell stepped in is a BIG step forward for the leafs. for the past 3-4 years stuff would happen to them, clean or dirty, and no one would say a thing. they would just look the other way.
pat on the back to Mitchell for standing up for his team mate. one more thing the leafs have to work on if they want to be a dominant team....eventually.

i think youre a little biased. go watch the carkner vs orr fight. there was 4 fights in this game, the leafs are as tough as ever and showing some courage and you sit around criticizing on your keyboard. nice life

Orr is an enforcer, Carkner actually plays hockey. Leafs still have no idea when or how to play tough hockey. Trying to fight everyone that hits your team is not courage or tough. That an Orr is the only leaf with any kind of winning record. Now if they actually had stars to protect the 1 minute of ice time a game Orr gets might make sense. A cross check and vicious hugging to avoid a Tucker-esque beating? Still better than letting Schenn try and stick up for himself.

Carkner can't play for shit.... he only gets ice time because he plays defense. You'd think a guy so big would have a good shot... nope. What does he do - hit and block shots? wow, takes a skilled guy to do that.
