I was reading that Andy Lau is financing a remake of 5 Deadly venoms as well as the Flying Guillotine. The cast for 5 DV is Jay Chou as the last student, the venoms are:Edison Chen, Maggie Q,Huang Xiaoming ,Wu Jing & Liu Chia-Hui. But who knows if that will change.

@Blastaar7 Tru. These 2 movies seem to play off of the actors specialties & abilities. They are all in both movies and play the same char type. Check it out you will see. Scorpion kicks = Iron Foot, Snake is a Slippery corny guy, Silver spear = Centipede. The other actors are there as well in different ways tho' Lizard is the Drunken Agent - Seems to me he's the star of both films Even the Judge from venoms shows up as Iron Robe... its all great

After seeing this and Golden Arms, I noticed its like a sister movie with almost the same structure. What I mean is the Actors are all playing characters with Similar "personalities". Check both flicks those who have both - you will find: Golden Toad, Drunken Lizard, Silver Centipied .....and more. In fact the whole Venom Clan and a few others are all in Golden Arms just "Re-Arranged" a bit

IMHO the appeal to this movie was the "SuperHero" type styles they had here. A pretty decent story...and the anticipated fights between Venoms was money! By far the one movie that hooked me into kung fu cinema. We would greatly anticipate watching ch 50 just praying this one would come on! Kung fu theatre back in the day was tight!
