It bothers me that people tend to treat magic like a second kryptonite. The idea (as I always understood it, anyway), was not that Supes was "weak" against magic, but that he was affected by it just like anyone else would be.

It's not like Captain Marvel is casting spells to cause damage. He has magically-granted strength, speed, etc., which he uses to deliver punches just like anyone who was naturally that strong would.

George Newbern did superman for both Justice League series though, so that's the only difference. Tim Daly did the animated series for superman.

The writers leave what happen between the costume exchange up to us. I like to believe that the Justice League (Military) OATH caused Hawkman & Captain Marvel to stand down and aide their Brothers In Arms to bring down the treasonous President Luthor.
