I have neutral hype for lambda, but I'm lovin this video, your theme+editing was hot. I gotta show this to my Friend Devo next time I see him, hes a "Kokonoe and everything related to Kokonoe" fan boi so he luvs lambda. His head will explode lol
@annoying1359 No, it's simply a remix of Frank Sinatra's "Fly Me To The Moon" used for Bayonetta, hence the title of the video. Evangelion's ED also uses another remix of the same song.
@00Morm00 Most of these combos are pretty easy and there are no comeback mechanics in BB. There's no rage, no ultras, no xfactor, no pandora. Valle, as a SF player, was clearly referring to Capcom games only.
@novriltataki no combeback mechanics except that 1/ most characters can do a bazillion damage in a single combo once they access to meter, 2/ you build meter by getting hit, 3/ you can burst out of anything, and 4/ some characters can start said combos from invincible moves.
I'm not stating that BB is a bad game or anything, but in terms of "you can beat anyone out of a lucky mashing if you know your combos" BB is on par with Capcom games.
3) You can't burst out of Distortion(Supers) nor Astrals, bursts can be baited by good enough players, not to mention you're limited to 2 bursts at most and they deplete your defense by half if used defensively.
4) First you'd need to know what your foe is about to do and counter with the correct move, then you'd probably need to spend meter to continue your combo.
Hold on, you have a Hazama playlist, you already know all this...
@00Morm00 Don't those things you said also apply to Guilty Gear. In fact, even more so to Guilty Gear because some characters IIRC built meter just walking forward? Was that a casual game?
@OmgSuiseiseki Everyone can get meter for moving forwards but it requires a high tension pulse – which is a reward for being very offensive. Meter is also used for a lot more things in GG.
BB giving you meter for having low health _is_ a comeback mechanic of sorts, it’s just rarely going to actually help because meter is already abundant and the gain is slow.
@00Morm00 1/ Usually they either require meter or a lot of practice to pull them off including using up your bursts in a combo. 2/ You build a smidgen of meter getting hit just like any other fighting game, you gain more from hitting the opponent. 3/ You only get 1 burst per game and you'll only get one more if you lose, if you use it in round 1 and win that;s it gone. 4/ Only Noel can do that really and she's a different story but those moves are very unsafe on block.
Great video but why would your release it right before CSEX? I've been waiting since the I collect ducks video for another good lambda video and now when one is finally made everything is about to change again.
But anyway...any advice for landing that 6D at 3:42? I always have trouble with that for some reason.
@gobblenater I recorded the combos a couple of months ago, but Novril had other occupations so he finished editing today. We'll make a CSE one don't worry.
For hitting the 6D you need to do a TK Crescent (2417D) as low as possible so you'll have enough time to recover and hit with 6D.

Yay, a combo video for a modern game designed for dramatic comebacks and valuing execution more than fundamentals.

@00Morm00 lol your post is wrong on so many levels I don't even know where to begin...
novriltataki 4 months ago 18
1) It's called skill.
2) You build -far- more meter landing hits.

@00Morm00
1) Name a fighting game where you CAN'T do a bazillion damage with enough meter.
2) In Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Marvel vs Capcom you also gain meter when you get hit. I see no issues here.
3) Bursts can be baited and punished.
4) Those invincible moves have higher risk than reward (mid-screen Infernal Divider combo vs. mid-screen punish combo).
The great thing about all the modern fighting games today is that you can pick the one you like the most.
Fighting games ftw! ^.^

@00Morm00 Actually you can't burst out of everything. This character in particular has plenty of combos that are "burst safe".

@00Morm00 Critical research failure; The games you might be referring to are developed by capcom.

@00Morm00 Street fighter has lacked fundamentals and execution since super turbo, and iirc wasn't ST's super meter called a comeback mechanic?
