  • does wing chun do any good on street fight?

  • @nevonja if mixed with other effective styles..YES..or if you really are skilled and witty in using it...YES

  • I want a tattoo of Master Wong at 4:05. Or any tattoo of Master Wong. But with his "I KILL YOU!" eyes at 100%.

  • A white guy named Tyrone!? No fucking way!

  • " ooo...i like my hands" haha

  • As always good work from MW and its a nice trapping movement

But isn't this better categorized in JKD?

If your opponent has a good body structure based on wing chun technics, im not 100% sure this wil work while you give you body center open.

Offcoure if you put full dedication and force in the move you will brick you opponent but in terms of proper wing chun aren't you taking a risk doing this move?

  • @Djahendrix - the way he did it in a few of his examples, he has a gap, but it is a pretty standard wing tsun attack, we call it a dang sao, slapping grab. i havent trained it setting up with a lap sao like he is doing, usually just use a tan or kau sao but i dont really see a problem with using a lap. he is covered if he moves his body behind his elbow, if he doesnt, he can be hit there.

  • It be cool if in wing chun we could make our knuckles stronger like they do in kyo karate. We don't need to, but it be pretty cooll

  • @shukaku with proper and repetitive training on sandbag, pads, and mook jong (wooden dummy), your hands and fists do become stronger and more conditioned. The trouble w/ the conditioning in karate is that when you reach a certain age in your training, you're likely to fall victim to all the abuse (ie. arthritis, carpel tunnel, etc). There are a lot of iron palm Masters who wince in pain if you even try to shake their hands because of the years of harsh treatment. So if you train, train right.

  • \\m// (>_<) \\m//
