Sounds like you got your degree in "PJ Proby". They didn't offer that major at the university where I went but, wow, it impresses me almost as much as the thousands of rare records you brag about buying. If there was a TV quiz show about PJ Proby I just bet you could answer all the questions and become both rich and famous. Then you could buy even more of those rare records.
shugahshak. A lot you know about me. I've never claimed to know everything about PJ Proby? I've collected records for over 30 years with hard earned savings, others were given to me by family & friends. Not once have I bragged about my record collection and I am always willing to give away records I have multiple copies of to my good friends who are struggling to complete their collections. As for wealth and fame, it means nothing to me. Family and friends are more important .
A Proby insider was preaching to me recently on a different video about the use of dictionary English. Therefore I shall point out that the English dictionary says the term "the younger" used with a proper name distinguishes the named individual from an older individual with the same proper name. For example "the younger" is the son of "the elder" individual. Does PJ Proby have a son named PJ Proby?
This record sounds a little worn but it's easy enough to tell who is singing. The few youtubers who still say that Peter James is a mystery aren't fooling the real Proby experts. Listen to this and then listen to Proby singing "I Believe" and it's obvious the same person is singing both songs. And the endings are a dead giveaway. PJ Proby was a demo singer when many or all of the Peter James vocal tracks were recorded. History shows that he didn't always honour his recording contract.
The words are rather schmaltzy and the choral backing is awfully loud for 1965, but this song certainly shows that "Peter James" had a great set of pipes.
I think Eddie Cochran would have gotten a huge kick out of these pictures.
Its curious that this Peter James recorded an obscure song done by Tony Bennett in 1957 and it was released in 1965. It has a nice tune but the lyrics are a little odd.
The pictures in this video are very entertaining. Theyre a refreshing change after all the trace-and-shade drawings showing up in other youtube videos of late. P.J. Proby was a handsome young man but some of those drawings make him look unpleasant and even grotesque.
This song makes me think of high school dances. The pictures are fantastic! I really really like the one that looks sort of like Elvis and the one with the Bobby Rydell hair. This is fun.

I think it's COOL how you superimposed P.J.'s face on to the figures of Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran! Joe

Is there an echo in here? Strange but I thought I heard an echo.

If you want to be so technical here, I didn't even use his proper name here.

You know very well what I was trying to say, but you just couldn't resist displaying your ignorance about P.J. Proby here.

I'm not fooled. They are all pictures of the younger P.J. Proby except they have been altered in some way.

Since you are such an authority on the English dictionary then why don't you go to university, get a degree and become an English teacher?
Also your petty ignorance about PJ Proby impresses me none.

Pictures of the younger PJ Proby? Did somebody not get the joke?

Great pictures of the younger PJ Proby even though it's not him singing here.
