life is timeless, dreams are long when your young, you used to fall in love with everyone...Any guitar and any bass drum, love is a drink and you get drunk when your young..................... Fucking what a fantastic first line for a song. I'm 45 now but still listen to the jam at least twice a week. What a band to grow up too and what fantastic memories. I wish they would reform for all us 45 to 55 year olds and all the kids that love them today, but sadly I cannae see it. Shame that !

Oh! Please! Listen to "Beat Surrender". Weller realised that he had come to the end of that phase his life. Some of the Style Council was ground-breaking... not as Earth-shattering as The Jam BUT what could be? Weller's solo stuff is collectable but it could never reach the heights of The Jam. What could? mccartney after the beatles, gabriel after genesis?
