It was a brave thing to protect her from a baton beat down by the cops, of course none should be too surprised? This whole riot was caused by a bunch of idiots who probably weren't even fans of the Canucks who wanted to cause trouble. Given it was a minority of the city of Vancouver, it still damaged its reputation. The only city I hate in Canada is Montreal.

These people are talking nonsense and they're judging the couple without knowledge of the facts. If they had seen the video of what happened before the kiss they would have seen that the angry crown ran into the couple and knocked them to the crowd, even ran over them. Then the police started hitting the guy, mistaking him for one of the rioters. His girlfriend, who was injured, started crying hysterically so he kissed her to calm her down. Afterwards someone came over to see how she was.

These commentators are judging the couple without knowledge of the situation. If they had watched what actually happended before the kiss they would not be talking such nonsense. These were not just two horny people. They were standing in the middle of the street when the crazy crowd ran into them and kknocked them down.
