  • beth is right on the money when she describes this book as both gentle and witty. the discussion of probability as it is used in legal cases was very interesting, and i enjoyed learning about the sociological factors behind the development of probability theory.

what really surprised me most was how motivating this book was. in a world searching for meaning, it was a welcome relief to find a book that engages randomness and gives the reader small bits of survival advice.

    a great read!
