  • any technique that wins olympic gold on the day is good technique theres always going to be different ways to move a boat andif everyone does the same thing it shouldnt matter.

  • everyone in the same boat i mean haha

  • Looks like Zealand has more of a Sweep rowing technique. Low hunched and drive, the opposite of sitting tall and less leanback, the so called "perfect" sculling stroke. Just shows it's not the type of technique you use, it's both people doing the same exact movement. Oh and power always helps.

  • @bjbjbzz you dunno wtf you're on about

  • Well they don't have perfect technique but they still move the boat and you shouldn't be criticizing Olympic champions...

  • yea shush alldali you dork

  • shut up Alldali, you and your shit name dont know anything

  • Allldali is partly correct. The New Zealenders double rows like Mahe Drysdale, they row like they do, because they have weak upperbody strenght, so they wait untill the boatspead is high before they use theire arms, so that they dont get exausted early in the race. But theire legs are probably the strongest in this field by far, so thats why they row so fast. but they are not pretty rowers and they would probably row faster if they were buffer up top :-)

  • @lars240791 stfu.

  • I posted 2 comments about the technique from the Swindell sisters...It is still awfull and very bad ! Lucky for them they are very strong....

  • let he whom hath never taken a technically poor stroke be the first to critique the stroke of olympic champions

  • i say

  • Are you kidding!! Their technique is perfect! Quick as catches! Perfect finishes! Beautiful blade-work! Good posture! Absolute perfect timing and balance! And it isn't power that wins races, its heart!

  • Yay for the twins. Too bad they've retired. They'll be hard to replace.

  • Yay for Caroline and Georgina!

  • yay! back to back gold medals for Georgina and Caroline! Well done at both athens and beijing! :D

  • "technically very poor" what a joke! i dont see you as world number one!!

  • @ALLDALI it's completely untrue..if you make it to the Olympics it means that you are very fast, and if you are very fast it means that you have very good technique. You can't go around rowing like a lumberjack and be "number one". NO

  • It's good watching it all over again - I'm the the Ever-Swindell twins won! Go NZ!

Can't wait to see how we do in Beijing..
