"...because we hate people." i'm going to take that, and combine it with the lyrics to their music and their "social experiments" with music videos, to come up with this theory: the ropes couldn't give a damn if you like their music-they'd keep writing it regaurdless of the money they're making-because the music isn't really meant for anyone but themselves. sure, it's cool that they're liked, but their only objective seems to be to write songs like diary entries. thoughts from a time frame.

The Ropes are truly great. It is rare to find music this sophisticated and thoughtful and fun. It is still okay to have fun. I have seen them live and THEY ROCK! It is unfortunate that some are not perceptive enough to appreciate how really special and exceptional this fantastic band is. I lift a glass to those of us who get it. While most drink Mad Dog 20/20 and think it is the apex of quality, we have Rothschild LaFite. I LOVE THE ROPES!
