For me, the best thing I did for depression is to get in about 30-60 minutes of daily exercise, intense exercise when possible. Also, I got more sun, took my vitamins, and took fish oil and flax seed oil. Besides that, doing CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) exercises in books got me feeling better in rather quickly because it changed how look at life.

Anyway, I only came on here because I originally wanted to say how this commercial really nails the *Feeling* of depression accurately.

I blacked out from Cymbalta a year ago, stay away from it. I went thru the Paxil withdrawal which is hell on earth, do not take SSRI's, if on them titrate down asap, seek counseling and alternative therapies, now that I'm off SSRI's, thank God, I'm gong to try SAMe.

I think it's legal in England if it's prescribed by a consultant. I go to a clinic for kids with mental health problems and they only use SSRIs in extreme cases ... I just got switched from fluoxatine to Setraline...

It should in a while. Sertraline works in a different manner than fluoxetine, by stimulating the body's natural ability to produce serotonin. Give the SSRI some time to build up in your system.

people on antidepressant drug medications aren't taking them 'for fun'. they take it because of the chemical imbalance that they cannot control.

who doesn't want to love life. you can say that easily when you're young or inconsiderate, but your comment doesn't suggest that you've surmounted any significant billows.

I have no comment on Cymbalta itself, but its depression ads do deserve an Oscar or an Emmy or whatever the equivalent for ads is. These ads (first 20 seconds or so of this one) capture what it is to be depressed.
