Frankly, this movie as a whole was pretty terrible, but by some irony, Mariah Carey was not. She is one of the few pop stars I can think of who can actually get rid of her pop persona and actually act.

Honestly, Glitter wasn't a great movie, but it wasn't nearly as horrific as people say. Also, the Glitter soundtracks, IMO, is highly underrated. There are some true gems on that album. I think her breakdown and the 9/11 attacks are the reasons this movie and film have such a bad name...not because they're failures.

For others info, based on observations, MARIAH is in the industry for more than 20 years and "THE THING" that she ain't a PRO is LIP SYNCING. It was cheesy but still enjoyable. Mariah's acting wasn't great in this movie but she gave us better acting in movies such as Wisegirls, Tennessee, and Precious.
