Me playin' Roland AX-1

You can buy a new Roland AX or AX-09 Lucina (cheap & less controllers). Both with onboard sounds. Or even a vintage AX-1, great design, but no onboard sounds, so you have to trigger a module. No matter your choice, think they all play & sound great.

Yep. Similar to any other plastic ones.. Even my keyboard from 1996 makes such sounds. But ofcourse, I don't hold it like the keytar xD

I don't think you can.

@beberlerugbyman Not possible, you need a sound controller, sampler, snythesizer and use it via midi through so the keytar can controll it.

hhey mag ik vragen waar je zon ding vandaan haaltt, ik ben al lang op zoek en dan eigelijk naar een tweedehandsje zodat t niet te veel kost... maar ik kan ze eigenlijk nergens vinden,, de ax1 werd volgens mij niet meer gemaakt ax7 weet ik niet maar goedkope dingetjes kan ik niet vidnen :(

You need another keyboard/synthesizer to play it. The keytar is simply a midi controller. It plays the sounds of another keyboard/synth. Advantages are the modulation bar and pitch bend as well as looking mighty mighty cool on stage

im pretty sure they had a really basic synth but then again im just guessing.

If you're wanting a keytar with its own sounds, look up the roland ax synth

Yeh I've seen that on youtube :) man that looks great, but waaaayyy to expensive lol. If I had that money I would probably buy a new bass guitar (Seeing as I play bass) ;)

SHS series has an onboard synth but its just a joke compared to Roland's AX series.
