  • i have a internship interview next week and i really dont know what to wear. its going to be at a nonprofit organization so what should i wear? its not a paid internship

  • @iloveblush hi! you should always try to be a level or two more dressed up than your interviewer. is the organization business casual? if so you should do business formal, are they casual? if so, go in a cardigan, stockings, and a pencil skirt. as always no tshirts, flashy jewlery, crazy nail polish colors, jeans, or open toe shoes!

  • @piyopiyoQ

i dont think its business casual, i think its more casual. i dont have skirt so i dont know what to wear for the bottom

  • @iloveblush you should never be less casual than your interviewer so to be safe, always plan a level above. you want to be overdressed rather than under. as for pants, nothing with flare. no jean material, obviously no leggings. i'd wear business slacks, no khakis, if you can find black cords, those are okay too since you said they're casual but that's already a little too informal.

  • @piyopiyoQ

you reply back very fast lol. for the top i was going to wear a black blazer but dont know what to wear under? would black blazer be okay? i dont have any pants so i was wondering what stores can i find it at?

  • @iloveblush ha yeah. i get push email notifications on my phone when people leave me questions and i figured this is probably important. yes wear a more muted sleeveless blouse or tank top under and more bootleg/fitter slacks. i actually get a lot of interview dress questions maybe ill do a vid on it. bc its hard to describe outfits i feel like i need to show it. my go to work clothes: jcrew, banana republic, and ralph lauren or rugby by ralph lauren.

  • @piyopiyoQ express is ok but it's always so long on me that i hate hate hate spending another 20 dollars getting it tailored. if you plan to invest then i say theory or kenneth cole

  • @piyopiyoQ

omg yes can you please do a video with different outfits to wear? if you can do it soon i would appreciate it so much! my interview is next wednesday and i want time to look for pants cause it might be hard for me to find :/

  • @iloveblush yea ill do one but i cant get it up by next weds. im swamped until the 17th...do you have an iphone if so ill give you my instagram name and you can scroll through my pictures, i post a lot of outfits of the day for my work and im in an office setting. maybe you can find inspiration there?

  • @piyopiyoQ

    i dont have a iphone :(

    is flats okay to wear?

  • @iloveblush w/ skirts no, slacks yes. flats are tough....id need to see them, not every pair would go. no fabric, wear leather. have you seen the tory burch black flats? those would be perfect. :) gluck

  • @piyopiyoQ

aw man my flats are suede, black, and has a bow on the toes part. those are not okay? :(

  • @iloveblush that sounds fine. hope you do well!!!!

  • @piyopiyoQ

sorry for bothering you and asking you so much stuff on what to wear to my internship interview! i think i got my outfit, can i send you a picture of what outfit i have and have you tell me what you think and give me feedback on it? if so, can you please give me your email address? thank you. i am just so nervous! :(

  • @iloveblush sure. i listed my email associated with youtube on my channel. on the right hand side. it's llioraq@gmail.com

  • i need some advice to what i should wear for a interview selling cosmetics ? i am lost

  • @4theloveofmoney do you mind messaging me the company? honestly you can't go wrong with wearing a nice blouse/sweater and a pencil skirt with heels or slacks. now that the weather is cold, pair with some fun accessories like a scarf or a clunkier jcrew-esque necklace. can never go wrong w/ a fancier blouse type shirts and a cardigan.

  • im applying for a clothing store (EXPRESS) and was wondering if you know how i should dress? im 5'6 so i only wear heals when i go out but do you think i should for the interview. and im wearing a blazer with black pants not jeans idk what kind of material but their like skinny ish and a black and white top? does that sound at all ok?

  • @califirl07 black flats would go fine if you're wearing pants. my rule of thumb is not doing flats with pencil skirts. im short so if i do that, my legs look even shorter. that sounds totally fine. with a clothing store like express you can afford to go a little dressier meaning ruffle top with a cardigan, or just a really nice blouse. go in wearing what the employees wear. if ever in doubt, dress like the employees when you go in. but what you have planned sounds great! gluck!!!

  • @piyopiyoQ im so sorry for not writting back sooner. but i toatlly got the job. thanks for the tips. i was so nervous. :D thank you!!

  • @califirl07 wow congrats!!! i'm not sure how much i helped. i'm sure you rocked it out. so happy for you!

  • I want to thank you for the tip about how to dress for a interview. I got a job at Burlington Coat Factory. Thank you for showing this view. This video help me alot for my job video. Thank you!

  • @123averagecatgirl yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. happy to help!

  • how high should a heel be coz i hate kitten heels

  • @MrAlfredothemonkey nothing over 3.5 inches

  • oh i also forgot to mention what color should the clothes be?

  • i have an interview at a dentist office.. what should i wear? and how should i do my hair and makeup. please help

  • @hellobabe84 i would go a little more formal. it's starting to get chilly so wear a business skirt w/ black or nude tights/stockings. heels, no flats. either a nice blouse/sweater from a store that's jcrew/tommy hilfiger/ralph lauren-esque. can never go wrong w/ those brands for interview clothes. VERY simple makeup. eyeliner not too thick, no bold lip, no crazy blush. go w/ a neutral shadow. no gloss, just chapstick or a tonedown lipstick. clean nails. hair: just make sure it's outta your face

  • I was going to schedule for interview at Target. What should I wear for this interview? This is my first interview.

  • @123averagecatgirl congrats! and good luck. business casual for sure. Wear a nice a-line skirt with a nice blouse top or fancier top with a cardigan over it. or go with simple business slacks and a light cardigan. dress it up with a simple necklace or strand of pearls. no need to go too formal but def no jeans and tshirt. you always rather be overdressed than under, it shows respect and that it's important to you.
