3) Do we need the game being overly easy because the leader unit pwns everything and then some? We already have soldiers who pwn things for him/her. Making the Lord too Godly without any noteworthy weaknesses destroys the difficulty of the maps.
4) You are right about one thing. Actually, ranged Wands like Reblow/Reserve/Warp may need to have even less range, say Magic/3. But I do like how the healing Wands no longer easily OUFH unless it's Recover.
1) Surprisingly, Speed is still stupid super. Yes, in FE12 on Lunatic, if your unit doesn't have good enough Speed, they're instant garbage. Google "Should IS nerf speed" if you don't believe me.
2) Radiant Dawn rushed its own Support System. Thankfully, this is better handled in FE12 either wya. By the way, there are still support boosts in FE11, although sucky and generally invisible.

this was quite interesting to watch, let me say my opinion too
2 of your mentioned mistakes actually don't cross each other if in 2 different difficulties
Marth is weak in higher difficulties, so are the staffs far too strong in lower difficulties, trying to beat the last boss in 1 turn, like I did in my first playthrough too, in hard lvl 5 is your death sentence, but I guess if you are so full of hate about this game, you did not try the hard game
but that you and your enemy can heal the entire squad makes some parts really... annoying, others too easy
I personally also disliked how they let the classes look like (at least most of them), by replacing the 2D images by 3D renders some just looked like on a lower standart than in the older FE titles for GBA (especially Dracoknights)
but finally, alright, Shadow Dragon is in no way as good as Sacred Stones, but still 50 times better than the fucking NGC/Wii titles
probably the gameplay part of Path of Radience/Radiant Dawn is pretty fine, but these titles are much more to flame than Shadow Dragon ever could achieve
the movements on the grid/map are FAR too slow, the storytelling misses completly the epicness you would expect, the battle animations are annoying after the first fight you will ever see, and the classes are even 122 times worse designed than in Shadow Dragon, not to say that they basically look all fucking the same
and finally, fuck Ike, every single FE main character was a way cooler one, without writing another 5 comments WHY, and picking Ike into SSB Brawl is the next GIANT fail
I will skip another 7 comments and just say that he sucks because of my mathematical equation, proving it, and that he actually shouts his name when doing his attack gave him the crown of retardness

That's true to an extent. The only characters who were given buffs were Wolf and Zagaro(those two have 60+ growths with 120% base HP), but other than that, most guys were kept more or less the same. At least Cain, Abel, Ogma, Navarre, and Merric have stayed top notch.
Pros and Cons? Could've fooled me with all that nerd rage friend. Yeah. and in the end of Shadow Dragon, Marth gets all the credit and the awsome people like Abel, Cord, and Seddie (Sedgar) end up with crappy depressing lives involving war or marrying a useless character from the game. Ceada was only hot in FE3. Now I prefer Ike since Marth is a king's brat, has no personality, and should've married someone that WAS'NT royal. Good thing Ike is single.
You make a lot of good points, but in my opinion Shadow Dragon was designed with connecting fans of the FE series to the roots of the game. America received the seventh game in the series to localize as the first, so naturally fans would look around for info about the other games. Shadow Dragon is kind of like a chance to get a feel for the older games; sure, there may be flaws, but a lot of game designers don't get everything right the first time. It's like a history lesson, I guess.
Actually, RaustBD, historical inaccuracy in your video. In medieval times, a lord would often go into battle along WITH their knights, as they themselves were expected by their superior (their king) to fight by the king's side should the need ever arise. Only a few lords were ever cowardly. Ganelon, for example, was a coward.
That could also be seen as misleading. Due to the fact that they themselves had to fight for the king, they trained themselves just as hard as the knights. Some even harder than that, as they knew the enemy would be looking for them first; eliminate the commanding officer, and their regiment could very well fall into chaos.
I get what your saying but they never released the first game in the us, officialy. "Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon" IS the first game, only polished and translated.
I to agree on the multi-player aspect of the game, AWSOME. Anyway thanks for the opinion. I think the game rocks, but I can see why you dislike it as much as you do.
FE1 and 3 came out in Japan and barely anyone plays it anymore. It was mainly meant as a introduction to Marth. Also, how the hell do you replace the magic system?
And on the subject of marth sucking yeah he does but he is the 3rd most suciest lord in the game - MICHIAH in the first few chapters in fire emblem path of radience seriosuly SUCKED just slightly less sucky than the colour purple - its so evil i say we knfe it and leave it to die
NO m8 you rock seriously shadow dragon had a few good points but was a peice of shit compared to the epicness of SACRED STONES but if in sacred stones they had sued a changable class system played multiplayer on a battlefield - fixed the warp staff fortify staff and - keep the physic that helps combinding it with good story we would have the game that would last a lifetime or until someone irish like me got drunk fell over and crushed it anyway i play wow and i know what rocks this rocks mowmow
Honestly, though, I liked the game for the sole reason that, like with Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World, I think of them as their own games and try not to judge them too harshly based on the others in the series. By comparison, TOS2 was crap, but on its own, it was a pretty fun game, if not kind of a Pokemon rip off. Same goes for SD, I will admit that the staves make it way too easy, but think about it, from what I've seen, the magic growths are almost non-existent.
So it was either broken staves or useless staves (though they could have just fixed the magic). Also, I admit that the accuracy thing does suck, but at least it's not a fixed RNG like Advanced Wars (not bashing AW, just saying). I actually didn't find anything wrong with Marth, he was a decent character for me, and he pretty much matched my Eliwood.
In response to magic: that's because the priests/clerics blew. If I HAD to choose between any of them, I'd use the first guy you get. Sure, his hp growth is REALLY low, but he has *decent* growths.
As for Marth; I admit, he was a really decent character. My complaint was this: why bother giving him a 2% growth to resist? Lmao. I say either they should've made it 0% or bumped it to 5%-10%.
Then there was the whole "Protest against Evasion!" I swear to god, I must've bought 15 or so Heal staves before I started chapter 5, due to previous playthroughs. I arena-abuse OFTEN because it's the only way to make a good sum of money. I also learned that you don't see a vendor until chapter 10 or something O_o
But the evasion messed me up. 20 speed and 14 luck = 30 evade? No. Just no.
Well, I kind of agree, I mean, I hardly ever saw anyone dodge anything until the wooden cavalry chapter (with the stonehoists) but I never even knew about the Evasion calculation (it just seems really complicated to me, there are a lot of factors, like the weapon triangle) but then again, it makes it easy to train clerics/curates and, since you need to kill off characters to get to the extra chapters, it makes it easier to kill characters like Jagen and myrmidons... wow, looking back I didn't ma
ke a very good argument. As for choosing a healer, I always choose Lena, for the sole reason that she can use the incredible broken Hammerne (12 uses) (also, she had like 26 res by the last chapter at 20/20). Oh, yeah, about Marth's resistance problem, I didn't think it was such a big deal because I never put him near any mages, I mainly used him for mounted units and generals (obvious reasons), and also, you can abuse secret shops to get a lot of talismans if you want.
You might as well call this video "Fail: Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon" lol. There were no pros at all :P Although, this was the first fire emblem I've played, so I can't compare. I thought it was at least decent though.
my point was that between the smash bros games and the american fire emblem games, we were all getting pumped and excited about how awesome marth was going to be.
link was also extremely underpowered and ganondorf who could take over all of hyrule yet in ssb he is a slower version of captain falcon who was once thought the worst fighter
Yes, the platforming part is true, but his first game was the fastest platformer out there, so technically, sonic should of been all about speed from the beginning
I agree with most of this. Man, is the accuracy of this game really bad. Poor swordmasters, they get nerfed thanks to that.
I think Marth's so-so dodging skills made him a bit weak but he (for me, anyways) did dodge more then the rest.
Though, I don't agree with the marriage aspect being that good of an idea. I don't mind them giving hints in the supports, I just don't like the idea of having canon couples out of loads of characters.
Also, Ike and Hector are humbled in their hardest modes, and Lyndis and Micaiah were never exactly outstanding lords.
Also, Celice and Alm were ridiculously unfair. (FE2).
Also, Marth isn't weak. He's balanced. He's the only character outside of peg knights and mages that can actually stand some chance of getting res, and Marth has some of the best growths in the game. Not only that, Marth doesn't need to promote because he gets 30 levels anyways and is still well above others stat wise.
I do kind agree with some of this... However, I actually preferred the old evade system and hit system.
It mad the hit of weapons matter far more by not doubling hit, and speed is a RIDICULOUSLY broken stat in the newer Fire Emblem games. It's strength lies in both offense and defense.
The Physic (Pronounced Fizz-ik) staff was a life-saver, the warp staff amazing for killing theives wh made off with good items, and the fortify staff is good for healing Geoshpere damage. With a movement of 6, faster than any other unit than a ballista, I think it was fair that you could let the only good mage in the game, Lena survive.
On another note, how did you do it in 1 turn? It took me two, even after going to Chapter 24x.
I warped a guy to kill the unit in front of the boss, warped marth in front of the boss, warped another to a save point, saved, and repeatedly restarted from that save until marth got a critical on him.
I only had 2 warp staves, and 2 bishops that I used. (Elice and Lena). The divine dragon from 24x is the best unit in the game. 45 damage on Medeus. Falchion Marth does about half that.
I never really thought about how broken the staves were, but I guess it is quite ridiculous if I can have Lena heal everyone from a huge distance away. The thing I agree most with however is the accuracy system, as it is a royal pain when my units seem to be unable to doge whatsoever.
All the manaketes in Chapter 24 had 51 accuracy on Tiki, the divine dragon, who hit 100 percent of the time. Gordin had 100 accuracy all the time, because I spent 30 minutes grinding him to lv 10 on the first boss. The only weapon with low accuracy was the Dragonpike. Pissed me off because it always missed.
Also, the chance to hit in Shadow Dragon is completely different because in Shadow Dragon, the hit rate is based on a single random number. In games before (technically newer games), the hit rate is based on two random numbers. So if you have a 50 percent hit chance in Shadow Dragon, you hit 50/100. In older games, you hit something like 50.50%. If you have a hit percentage of 20, in the newer games you hit about 8.20%. In Shadow Dragon, you hit 20%.
But... I love how they did the warp staff. ^^" It made me so happy when I could send my entire army to the main base after I flushed most of the army out far enough.
...theres 3 parts of sonic teams the one who make the crappy story book series, the ones who make the mainstream and other 1 is spin offs. btw sonic unleashed kiked ass during day time
yeah, it's understandable that you'd like it if it was the first one you ever played. In fact, that'll probably make you like the series even more when you see how much better the newer ones are.
it doesn't really matter with the final battle, though, since you can beat it on the first turn by abusing the warp staff.
They've taken something that in modern times they should be ashamed of, upped the aesthetics, and proudly put it on display despite the fact that it's STILL A SKELETON FROM THEIR CLOSET.
mmmm... I have nothing against the new Sonic Games. I love them all (except 360... but I don't have a PS3 or XBox360... yet!). Yeah, I have heard about the FF1 and FF2 critism... But Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon is worse??? I mean... I loved playing the game. It's one of the only Tactical RPGs I like to play. And I am more the Action / Turn-Based RPG fan... So FE SD Opened my eyes and It's good... It's an okay game.
Thracia 776 isn't really a sequel, it's more of a sidestory that takes place about halfway through FE4, focusing more on the less important characters and clarifying unanswered questions.
I completely agree with everything you say, except for Marth being weak. Maybe I just trained my units poorly, but Marth was my best unit for the most part. As a matter of fact, if I didn't like a level, I would simply use the broken warp staff to warp marth next to the boss, and he could pretty much take out the boss and everything near it alone.
Other than that, though, everything you said was true and hilarious.
ouch raust, you called it pros and cons, but I hardly recall any pros at all, I'm sure it's not a bad game, but it's harder to appreciate the older ones if you've only played the newer ones...I guess it's a bit like Final fantasy in a way, how people who only played 7 and 8 just didn't get 9 as it was so much closer to the sprite based fantasies before it.
Sonic Unleashed and and Sonic and the Secret Rings were good. Sonic and the Black Knight just needed a longer storyline line and Blaze Knuckles, and Shadow needed to be more playable. Other than that it was a good game.
no if uv ever played the other american games ud know that rescuses were whenever a large character like oswin (a general) cud pick up a small characer like matthew (a theif) it is NOT a staff
I personally think that the game was pretty good seeing as it's the only fire emblem game I've played and therefore have nothing to compare it to. still I think the game is awesome but I do get pissed when people like Jagen [really really strong kickass warrior] dies.
Amen. You know what else I took issue with? Unless your name is Marth or Caeda, you don't get more than three lines the whole game. And you get tons of crappy characters like Vyland, Matthis, Roshea (especially Roshea. 10% speed growth ftl) etc, and then you get broken characters to solo the game with like the incredibly cheap Sedgar and Wolf.
i had to watched it twice. 1 for audio others for comments. wow u did ur research. i agree, exept about that guy name pen!s,. I think that would kind of bea disgrace a little. They didnt change anything exept its 3D. plus u cant divide anything by 0 ^^
I found the game fun, personally, but all of your points make a good amount of sense. Also, to add to the complaint about Supports, having no endings with them would be fine, as there were also no endings affected by Supports in Path of Radiance.
Also, not every single Support leads to marriage. An example would be Sain from Blazing Sword. Excluding Kent, all of his Supports are with females, yet only two lead to marriage.
OMG. I played this game, and it is like completely opposite from FE10. In FE11 all your units are crap and you're encouraged to kill them off, but in FE10 all your characters are super god-modded.
Marth being good in Smash doesn't mean he should be just as good in his games. Just look at Ganon. He's the lord of evil and is right at the bottom of the tier list. Poor Ganon.
what i was saying is that america was psyched about marth being awesome in fire emblem shadow dragon, just like every other lord was in the american fire emblem games.
It was an okay game, but without support conversations I felt that the characters weren't memorable. Once it took me a few turns to realize I lost one of them!
It still takes Roy a while to get there, just saying that he doesn't quite break the game as other lords do. I would consider a broken unit a character that starts great and stays great, Roy starts meh and becomes above average.
to be fair, I haven't exactly played more than the first few chapters of fire emblem 6, but From what I've seen of that weapon, it's insane. You can heal 30 hp by using it as an item!?
The problem with the Sword of Seals is it barely has aenough uses to be used constantly, and since it's the only way Roy will be great, you have to conserve it, limiting his potential even more.
Anyway, I think we should discontinue this discussion, it's just taking up space.

Yeah. and in the end of Shadow Dragon, Marth gets all the credit and the awsome people like Abel, Cord, and Seddie (Sedgar) end up with crappy depressing lives involving war or marrying a useless character from the game. Ceada was only hot in FE3. Now I prefer Ike since Marth is a king's brat, has no personality, and should've married someone that WAS'NT royal. Good thing Ike is single.

a few things:
1: actually, he was pretty interesting in the japanese games. he was portrayed as a very naive and foolish youth who was very gullible and trusting.
2: Actually, I thought Shiida was really cute in this game.
3: I never used cord or abel. Frey and barst is where it's at.
RaustBD 2 years ago
Cord is good if you reclass him as a beserker and give Gradivus to Abel since his weapon level would probably be "A" when you get it.
GassyPenguin 2 years ago
You make a lot of good points, but in my opinion Shadow Dragon was designed with connecting fans of the FE series to the roots of the game. America received the seventh game in the series to localize as the first, so naturally fans would look around for info about the other games. Shadow Dragon is kind of like a chance to get a feel for the older games; sure, there may be flaws, but a lot of game designers don't get everything right the first time. It's like a history lesson, I guess.
BackwardsHatToucan 2 years ago
Actually, RaustBD, historical inaccuracy in your video. In medieval times, a lord would often go into battle along WITH their knights, as they themselves were expected by their superior (their king) to fight by the king's side should the need ever arise. Only a few lords were ever cowardly. Ganelon, for example, was a coward.
UndecidedRPGplayer 2 years ago
fair enough, but I never used the word "coward" to describe them if I remember correctly. I called them weak.
RaustBD 2 years ago
That could also be seen as misleading. Due to the fact that they themselves had to fight for the king, they trained themselves just as hard as the knights. Some even harder than that, as they knew the enemy would be looking for them first; eliminate the commanding officer, and their regiment could very well fall into chaos.

silentasasin93 2 years ago
Honestly, though, I liked the game for the sole reason that, like with Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World, I think of them as their own games and try not to judge them too harshly based on the others in the series. By comparison, TOS2 was crap, but on its own, it was a pretty fun game, if not kind of a Pokemon rip off. Same goes for SD, I will admit that the staves make it way too easy, but think about it, from what I've seen, the magic growths are almost non-existent.
WhatIddoforpie 2 years ago
Continuation:
So it was either broken staves or useless staves (though they could have just fixed the magic). Also, I admit that the accuracy thing does suck, but at least it's not a fixed RNG like Advanced Wars (not bashing AW, just saying). I actually didn't find anything wrong with Marth, he was a decent character for me, and he pretty much matched my Eliwood.
WhatIddoforpie 2 years ago
In response to magic: that's because the priests/clerics blew. If I HAD to choose between any of them, I'd use the first guy you get. Sure, his hp growth is REALLY low, but he has *decent* growths.
As for Marth; I admit, he was a really decent character. My complaint was this: why bother giving him a 2% growth to resist? Lmao. I say either they should've made it 0% or bumped it to 5%-10%.
FireEmblemFreak3 2 years ago
Then there was the whole "Protest against Evasion!" I swear to god, I must've bought 15 or so Heal staves before I started chapter 5, due to previous playthroughs. I arena-abuse OFTEN because it's the only way to make a good sum of money. I also learned that you don't see a vendor until chapter 10 or something O_o
But the evasion messed me up. 20 speed and 14 luck = 30 evade? No. Just no.
FireEmblemFreak3 2 years ago
Well, I kind of agree, I mean, I hardly ever saw anyone dodge anything until the wooden cavalry chapter (with the stonehoists) but I never even knew about the Evasion calculation (it just seems really complicated to me, there are a lot of factors, like the weapon triangle) but then again, it makes it easy to train clerics/curates and, since you need to kill off characters to get to the extra chapters, it makes it easier to kill characters like Jagen and myrmidons... wow, looking back I didn't ma
WhatIddoforpie 2 years ago
ke a very good argument.
WhatIddoforpie 2 years ago
You might as well call this video "Fail: Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon" lol. There were no pros at all :P Although, this was the first fire emblem I've played, so I can't compare. I thought it was at least decent though.

You shouldn't say that because Marth is overpowered in both Smash games he's been in he should be able to level up,
Jigglypuff is tied for 6th on Melee's tier list, but is really bad in Pokemon games.
Again, Mewtwo is uber in Pokemon, and is usually banned, but he's so bad in Melee, its an insult really.

Sonic 1 was focused on platforming.
Sonic 2 & Sonic 3 & Sonic and Knuckles were more speed focused.
Sonic Adventure had adventure based gameplay which replaced speed somewhat.
Sonic Adventure 2 was all abour speed while playing as Sonic and Shadow.

frozentoes58 2 years ago
I agree with most of this. Man, is the accuracy of this game really bad. Poor swordmasters, they get nerfed thanks to that.
I think Marth's so-so dodging skills made him a bit weak but he (for me, anyways) did dodge more then the rest.
Though, I don't agree with the marriage aspect being that good of an idea. I don't mind them giving hints in the supports, I just don't like the idea of having canon couples out of loads of characters.
weridplusho 2 years ago
This shames great games with great remakes, like chrono trigger (Thank god the people who made shadow dragon didn't make Chrono trigger.)
Scopesightzx 2 years ago
Also, Ike and Hector are humbled in their hardest modes, and Lyndis and Micaiah were never exactly outstanding lords.
Also, Celice and Alm were ridiculously unfair. (FE2).
Also, Marth isn't weak. He's balanced. He's the only character outside of peg knights and mages that can actually stand some chance of getting res, and Marth has some of the best growths in the game. Not only that, Marth doesn't need to promote because he gets 30 levels anyways and is still well above others stat wise.
speedster27 2 years ago
lyndis was an amazing lord, but micaiah wasn't exactly a lord.
as for marth, it may have been the nerfed evade system, but he sure felt weak.
RaustBD 2 years ago
I do kind agree with some of this... However, I actually preferred the old evade system and hit system.
It mad the hit of weapons matter far more by not doubling hit, and speed is a RIDICULOUSLY broken stat in the newer Fire Emblem games. It's strength lies in both offense and defense.
speedster27 2 years ago
luck affects critical avoid, hit, and evade in equal measure.
speed effects attack speed and evasion.
skill effects hit and critical.
they just doubled one of the uses.
so that luck, skill, and speed all had three uses (more like two uses with one double, but still.)
RaustBD 2 years ago
The Physic (Pronounced Fizz-ik) staff was a life-saver, the warp staff amazing for killing theives wh made off with good items, and the fortify staff is good for healing Geoshpere damage. With a movement of 6, faster than any other unit than a ballista, I think it was fair that you could let the only good mage in the game, Lena survive.
On another note, how did you do it in 1 turn? It took me two, even after going to Chapter 24x.
littlekuribohimposte 2 years ago
I warped a guy to kill the unit in front of the boss, warped marth in front of the boss, warped another to a save point, saved, and repeatedly restarted from that save until marth got a critical on him.
RaustBD 2 years ago
I only had 2 warp staves, and 2 bishops that I used. (Elice and Lena). The divine dragon from 24x is the best unit in the game. 45 damage on Medeus. Falchion Marth does about half that.
littlekuribohimposte 2 years ago
i had 2 as well. I used it again through trading mid turn.

can u do a pros and cons for the kingdom hearts series can i get a response back plz???
oki2314 2 years ago
no.
pros and cons is about reviewing the best and worst games of a series. The next review I do will be of the best fire emblem game.
All three kingdom hearts games are awesome. I only review a series if there is a game in it that is genuinely bad.
RaustBD 2 years ago
I never really thought about how broken the staves were, but I guess it is quite ridiculous if I can have Lena heal everyone from a huge distance away. The thing I agree most with however is the accuracy system, as it is a royal pain when my units seem to be unable to doge whatsoever.
kirbyfreek33 2 years ago
By Chapter 20, I was getting 90-100 accuracy, while my foes had 50-80.
This game was kickass.
littlekuribohimposte 2 years ago
50-80?
the normal rate enemies have for your dodgers in fire emblem is around 0 to 20.
RaustBD 2 years ago
All the manaketes in Chapter 24 had 51 accuracy on Tiki, the divine dragon, who hit 100 percent of the time. Gordin had 100 accuracy all the time, because I spent 30 minutes grinding him to lv 10 on the first boss. The only weapon with low accuracy was the Dragonpike. Pissed me off because it always missed.
littlekuribohimposte 2 years ago
Also, the chance to hit in Shadow Dragon is completely different because in Shadow Dragon, the hit rate is based on a single random number. In games before (technically newer games), the hit rate is based on two random numbers. So if you have a 50 percent hit chance in Shadow Dragon, you hit 50/100. In older games, you hit something like 50.50%. If you have a hit percentage of 20, in the newer games you hit about 8.20%. In Shadow Dragon, you hit 20%.

yeah, it's understandable that you'd like it if it was the first one you ever played. In fact, that'll probably make you like the series even more when you see how much better the newer ones are.
it doesn't really matter with the final battle, though, since you can beat it on the first turn by abusing the warp staff.

Thracia 776 isn't really a sequel, it's more of a sidestory that takes place about halfway through FE4, focusing more on the less important characters and clarifying unanswered questions.
RoyalPersonGuy 2 years ago
I completely agree with everything you say, except for Marth being weak. Maybe I just trained my units poorly, but Marth was my best unit for the most part. As a matter of fact, if I didn't like a level, I would simply use the broken warp staff to warp marth next to the boss, and he could pretty much take out the boss and everything near it alone.
Other than that, though, everything you said was true and hilarious.
alwanrulez 2 years ago
ouch raust, you called it pros and cons, but I hardly recall any pros at all, I'm sure it's not a bad game, but it's harder to appreciate the older ones if you've only played the newer ones...I guess it's a bit like Final fantasy in a way, how people who only played 7 and 8 just didn't get 9 as it was so much closer to the sprite based fantasies before it.

I personally think that the game was pretty good seeing as it's the only fire emblem game I've played and therefore have nothing to compare it to. still I think the game is awesome but I do get pissed when people like Jagen [really really strong kickass warrior] dies.
Zaphire77 2 years ago
lol.
Jagen is the worst unit in the entire game.
He starts out DECENT, because he's already classed up, but his growth rates are horrible, and so are his stats for his level.
RaustBD 2 years ago
I know what ya mean, everybody else levels up and he takes like 5x longer to level up, still I'm good with playing FF4 for now.
Zaphire77 2 years ago

Though in my opinion, Shadow Dragon is the worst FE to be released internationally, I wouldn't call it bad.
The best thing about the game (in my opinion) is the awesome wi-fi play. Building a team and RNG abusing was fun.
Also, I wouldn't call Roy an unstoppable juggernaut until he gets the Sword of Seals.
RoyalPersonGuy 2 years ago
fair enough, but I also said the lords in the fire emblem games released in america.
but still, Roy with the sword of seals still IS an unstoppable juggernaut.
RaustBD 2 years ago
It still takes Roy a while to get there, just saying that he doesn't quite break the game as other lords do. I would consider a broken unit a character that starts great and stays great, Roy starts meh and becomes above average.
RoyalPersonGuy 2 years ago
to be fair, I haven't exactly played more than the first few chapters of fire emblem 6, but From what I've seen of that weapon, it's insane. You can heal 30 hp by using it as an item!?
RaustBD 2 years ago
The problem with the Sword of Seals is it barely has aenough uses to be used constantly, and since it's the only way Roy will be great, you have to conserve it, limiting his potential even more.
Anyway, I think we should discontinue this discussion, it's just taking up space.
