Because when Daniel wrote the vision the kingdoms were successive kingdoms such as Babylon, Medo-Persia and Greece. If this were the anti-Christ then he would have had to be the 4th kingdom not something in the future.

But, is the horn of the terrifying beast (the 4th beast = rome) could be antochius epiphane.

You must known that the two horns are the same.

Nope.  Do some more studying. The two kingdoms of Dan 8 are Greece and Medo-Persia and not Rome. Do the proper exegesis and you will not make such mistakes. Thanks

Do you know off hand if the SDA professors teach such things as the day-year principle and the wrong interpretation of Daniel 8? Just curious.

Yes the SDA professors do teach these things. From what people tell me they are instructed to keep their interpretations in line with the teachings of Ellen White. They will be hired if they refuse. Thanks for asking.
