I also bought Prozac Nation and Ghost World (ok, it's a comic book, but still) when I got Dangerous Lives. I've only read a couple of chapters so far, but I can already tell that if you liked the movie I'm almost sure you'll like the book.

My Lit teacher recomended me The Catcher when I was 16, she said I'd love it, and she was right! I just think it's weird that the first couple of times I watched Igby I didn't think of The catcher at all! And If you liked this book you HAVE to read Franny and Zooey, also by JD Salinger. I always feel that they're an older version of Holden and Phoebe.
