To Kiphillphil: As I stated at the outset, my intention was not to be too critical. I am simply so accustomed to seeing British soldiers march without error, including veterans well into their 70's, that the first group surprised me a bit.

I don;t mean to be too critical, but the fist group had several awful marchers. Very rare for the British military. The band is very good, despite its relatively small size and the poor weather. The second group marched beautifully.

Yes but lets face it, they wernt marching in Helmand they were doing what engineers do best and more then likly dodging bullets too. Lets see you do that, and march in step son.
