  • I'm queasy now

  • i would drink Thom Yorke's bathwater

  • @HelterSkelterSOR

    brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!...gross lol...no offense.

why u wanna drink the man's assssssss sweat..INTENSE,

  • long been a fan of radiohead and miles davis.....shitttt this song is like the two merging together, very similar to some of davis' 'bitches brew' work. BLOODY LOVE YOU THOM

  • RIP ='(

  • @jackwtat Shutup and get the hell out of here.

  • Incredible. So many levels and dimensions. Mind food. :)

  • I think my ears just jizzed

  • FLEA ON THE FUKING BASS!!! LOVE IT!!!!... RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS IS IN DA HOUSE!!!

  • @LudwigVilas It was actually Thom who wrote and played it for the studio version! But the live version with Atoms is beastly!

  • hot hot hot hot hot hot hot hot hot hot hot hot hot

  • earing supercolider and pulled by horses at the same time... lovely.

  • Julian Casablancas's solo is grander than Thom Yorke's

  • @tsammy06 You, sir, is what we like to call "a troll'. Also a dumbass.

  • @tsammy06 nahhhh!

  • @tsammy06 if by "grander", you mean "all been done before"... then yes I agree.

  • glad they're still dark.

  • Raddiohead is now considered the best in the world, they just show they can evolve and do anything better than most........

  • Amo cada segundo del tema

I love every second of this song

  • I love it wise it was on a Radiohead CD

  • So is this going to be on the new Radiohead CD or what? I saw Atoms for Peace playing it.. just wondering.

  • i think i busted a speaker during that mental synth part at the end.

  • GUH...everything about this song rules so DANG HARD

  • fantastic song, but poor quality.. still, thank you for uploading it.

  • the new reckoner has no resemblence not in bass, guitar, lyrics, or even drums. wierd.

  • @SuperiFox Apart from the word "reckoner" in the lyrics :)

  • @OnlyVideoGuyOnEarth true true :)

  • He must really hate rock riffs now days. Two different recorded versions of this song and neither have any trace of the original version's parts. I miss the dark energy.

  • @isaacinspace I disagree, I think the earlier radiohead was much more life affirming than what this is, but he just keeps going deeper and deeper, and darker I am finding

  • @isaacinspace He doesn't hate rock riffs. He's just done them already. Now he's exploring different sounds. The whole band is. And that's what is so great about them as a band. They aren't content with just releasing the same crap every record. They are always evolving their sound, moving the music forward. And to be fair there are still rock riffs. Look at Morning Mr. Magpie.

  • the original reckoner was better, the bassline was pure rock

  • Unkle anyone?

  • I hope this comes out on vinyl sometime soon. This song is captivating...it's a musical journey for sure.

  • @ahizer83 It was released on vinyl dude.

  • my favorite song from Thom's solo project

  • thanks, but horrible quality....

  • that bass line is death itself

  • the needle is way too heavy on the vinyl. were you trying to saw the damn thing into pieces?

  • Comment removed

  • @gewmonster pbbft... yeah... I'm sure it's digitally done though. Let's hope even the worst record in the world wasn't abused making this garbage song :)

  • not seen a PETA Activist with Anti-Yorke Shirts yet...

  • love the vinyl sound

  • ¿a new album of radiohead?----

  • I think the new stuff of Thom is really influenced by Burial in some very abstractive way, am I right? It's quite experimental with a lot of reverb, echoes and different rhytms... For me It isn't love @ first sight, but good music needs time. Although Thom and Burial are absolutely my heroes, RESPECT 4 them!!!

  • Yes Thom said when he filled in for Zane Lowe on Radio 1 that he was listening to alot of Burial, but I guess Radiohead have been making these sounds independently for a decade..

  • I agree with screamed, I respect burial but i think janjoosdt has it backwards. Radiohead released a full album like this in Kid A, what was that about 1998 or 1999, I think burial was much more influenced by earlier Radiohead.

  • damn. a little late arriving here.

  • "...and it'd sound really low-pitched and wrong if it was too slow."

  • Thom Yorke: the new Mr. Hands?

  • indeed! nice one good for seeing the correlation there..

  • This version is slowed down.

this is obviously a vinyl rip and whoever ripped it didnt change the speed to 45rpm.

  • um, no... that's exactly how the song sounds

  • yes. I have the vinyl from waste and it came with an mp3 download and it sounds different then this does. Search Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses MP3 on youtube and its the first video, it should sound like that.

The vinyl, mp3 and all of the live versions that ive seen all sounded alike except for this one which happens to be slowed down. like i said, the vinyl clearly states that it should be played at 45rpm not a 33rpm.

  • i watched the video and it sounds literally identical. there's a massive difference between 33 and 45. He'd sound like a chipmunk if it was too fast, and it'd sound really low-pitched and wrong if it was too slow.

like i said, i watched the video you told me too and it's identical. you're the only person to comment on it that it's a different speed.

you can even play them together at the same time and they follow each other perfectly.

  • sounds like they took the beat of this and turned it into 15 step

  • great tune been arounfd for ages tho since 2001 i think, its had live outings but its just beenreworked.

in love with thom and radiohead

  • hey what is this for? new cd or thom yorkes solo

  • His solo

  • can anyone provide me a link to a torrent of new radiohead songs like this, twisted words, hollow earth, and harry patch? or does no such torrent exist

  • actually i got a hold of them, thank you very much for the offer tho.

  • okay good, maybe you can help me out actually, you mentioned a song called "Harry Patch"? i've never even heard of it, do you have it? and "Hearing Damage"? as much as i love Thom's work i just can't buy the twilight 2 soundtrack to obtain it, $14 for one good song? if you have either of these or any other new Thom stuff, i would love to get a hold of them, thank you in advance for any help.

  • the man has the golden touch, that's all i can say, cause i LOVE everything i've ever heard from Thom and Radiohead, pure geniuses.

  • Thom Yorke is pure sex!

  • This version sounds better than the one I have...

  • I was so fucking happy when there was a box at my front door containing this gem.

You might want to replace your motor on your player, this sounds a bit slowed down.

  • THIS IS AMAZING.

  • I love the a-tonal nature of some of Thom Yorke's stuff. it's so surreal. and I love that it puts off 90 percent of music listeners. because that means the 10 percent who stay to it like it a lot.

    I like it a lot!

  • so true mistermajestyck. thats what i love about thommo's stuff. within the first few seconds i knew i'd love it... I LOVE IT. Brilliant. the man can't record bad music if he tried.

  • ya ya ya ya!

  • yeah its superficial but i like being in the 10%

  • Happy birthday thom! Great job on the new tracks!!

  • damnit. i LOVE radiohead. they are amazing.

    happy birthday thom yorke (yesterday)

  • fucking great new song! wow...

  • i like hearing more actual drumming, not the synth beeps and boops from the eraser. that album was good, but i like the extra energy in this beat.

  • RECKONAAANA PAPA PAPAPAAA

  • the more i hear this song, t5he better it gets .. in true radiohead/thom yorke style ... the songs that grow on you end up being your favourite and you wonder how you ever doubted them in the first place ... 5 stars all the way

  • you hit the nail on the head, it's exactly how i feel about all his music.

  • so should we be expecting a new thom yorke album soon???

  • spanks!

  • guys... u.u

i love radiohead, haha i'm think that i am the highest fan, i know Thom is like a god and this is a great song, but.....

    it's just radiohead :)

  • Sweet

  • Thank you Radiohead for yet another absolutely amazing song!

  • bitch you stupid, that aint radiohead. that thomosexual

  • SO FAR

  • To bad they left out the kick ass chorus from the original version.

  • Jamie Cullum released his first album in 1999. Thom Yorke had released four albums by that point.

  • i think it was a joke.

  • thom stole from jamie cullum?

who is jamie cullum? wait, i dont care, hes nobody.

  • ha, that's funny. I'm assuming that's a joke, if not, are you serious?

  • From Radiohead's site "FeelingPulledApartbyHorses is written & played by Jonny and I and is a radical rework of an old tune thats been kicking around without a home since 2001? i think."

  • I much prefer this to the live version I have, a little more dark or moody maybe. Looking forward to many more listens

  • Digg It!! However I can't help but sing Reckoner! Bababababa! Reckoner! Reckoner!-------The lyrics are the two verses form the original Reckoner played live at Red Rocks in 01'

  • it gets better with every listen... this is awesome

  • wow!

  • FRAKKIN GREAT

  • actually there's nothing of anyone of radiohead in this one !! it's a solo single meaning thom yorke made this one on his own ..

  • well obviously theres johnny greenwood, which is the radiohead guitarist?

  • there's jonny also

  • No, Radiohead have played this song before, albeit in a completely different form.

  • Johnny co-wrote it and plays on it.

  • guys I'm starting to face facts .. stop commenting on my comment about johnny was co-writing it, played on it etc. .. I was just told it was only Thom Yorke who worked on this .. sorry for the mistake !

  • But there are 2 writers on the track.

  • Brilliant, love every second song of this song.

  • i love the sound on the drums... it goes along well with the echo on the lyrics... way too fucking long... although i would love the entire thing on a downer like pain killers

  • Bloody Brilliant Video!!! keep it up boys!!

  • Sounds Einsturzende Neubauten in the beginning

  • Much Greenwood in this one.

  • sick. your opinion means nothing.

  • lol i know shut up ya geek.

  • Good. Like the vocals at the beginning. I don't like the up chants around 4:00. Prefer the old 2001 live version and TJM version from a few years ago. Sorta glad both versions exist. Song really should have ended just before 4:00.

  • i like this the more i listen, which is pretty common with most thom yorke/radiohead songs. HUGE FAN

  • the new songs are a mix of amnesiac and httt I think... more amnesiac.

  • yeah...like a spinnig plates:)

  • i'm not a horse. I'M A BIRD. FREE AS A BIRD. how many times have i told you that? : )

you're wondering how i pulled off those "links", "connections" on alison bechdel, bonnie bray and others? that i'll never tell. : D

  • what are you talking about

  • You kow what, this version is all fine dandy, but I would like just for once Thom to release a single/record with just him and his acoustic, focusing on the lyrics and his unique voice.

Ahh well I shall wait to see that coming true... somedaaaay

  • check out his set at the 2009 Latitude festival. not quite what you are looking for, but it might get you through the cold nights.

  • johnny shud of changed things around again a bit more at 5.00 ... its kool but not great . great start lazy finish they hav much better songs

  • As a huge fan of all things Radiohead/Yorke/Greenwood, I am in accord.

  • Radiohead has played this song live a few times, though it was originally titled Reckoner (entirely different from In Rainbows Reckoner of course). Albeit the song has been radically reworked complete with different lyrics. Yorke was nearly screaming the vocals on the earlier live rendition.

  • lovely transition around 4:13

  • hmm, not that special somehow- i've heard better easter eggs from them. reminds me of "Harrowdown Hill" crosses an OK Computer version of Jeff Buckley's "New Year's Prayer".

  • yeah, harrowdown hill from the eraser, thank you

  • Eargasm. That was fucking epic.

  • i heard about this but refused to listen to it until its actual release. you couldnt wait just 2 days could you???

    douchebag

  • aahh!!! Eargasm!!!

  • not the best but listenable...there are many better rh songs

  • its great, kinda sounds like nine inch nails...

  • amazing

  • Says this song was written & played by Jonny. Credit to him, too! Thanks a lot for uploading!

  • Woot!! Love it!

  • cool¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ but i have 2 ?´s : this song is gonna be release the 21 of september, am i wrong? so why you already have it? and the other question: that photo of thom in the water, is just a picture?? or is a fragment of a video?? thank you, sorry my bad english

  • a fragment!

  • its from the Harrowdown Hill music video

  • it's a video.. can't remember which one..

  • Sweet :D

  • Great stuff :)

  • this is great, i love the second bassline, and the last 3 minutes are incredible, definitely a change from the original, but still one of thom's best solo pieces

  • Spot on. Agree 100%.
