Adjusted for era (that is measured against contemporary average) Favre was 118th out of 166 QB's (with > 1,500 attempts) in INT rate. Favre made a lot of plays but he also tossed a lot of bad passes. When Favre was under pressure he would press and he would throw the ball to the other team. He did it early in his career, and he continued to do it in the playoffs for along while for both the Pack and Vikings.

@toolkien I'm not saying he was the greatest quarterback ever. He's the most exciting qb I've seen in my lifetime, because he was such a risk/reward playmaker. Teams lived and died with Favre at the helm, and it was remarkably refreshing to see an aging qb play with such a childlike enthusiasm in arguably the most stressful position in sports. Unbelievable arm strength and toughness. Not saying he's the best, but I think we can both agree that we will never see another Brett Favre.

@Turbo360Ca When? From '92-'94? Not so much. Mid '95-'97, by all means yes. From '98-'07? In the regular season pretty good, in the playoffs, not so much. There was a lot of upside to Favre, eventually, but also a lot of downside. Packer fans took the bad with the good for 16 years, but a point was reached where Favre ability to buy in went down, his desire to be the de facto GM went way up, and when he wasn't allowed to he quit, and then when the Pack didn't melt in tears, he sought revenge.

He really was the best. It's a shame that GB fans don't realize how good he was. They look at all the INTs and only 1 SB and think oh he was ok, but not the greatest. What they don't realize is that he made subpar offenses into solid units. I mean he NEVER had a top 5 RB. Fans will point to Ahman Greene's success for a year or two, but they don't realize that dude was not even a 1,000 yard rusher on a team that doesn't have to totally respect the gunslinger.
