Michelle is an artist, not a movie star--which is why she is so compelling. We don't have many like her anymore, which is sad. Actresses like Anne Hathaway, Reese Witherspoon, and Kate Hudson are great, and do have some talent, but Michelle Williams is in a whole different league than the rest of them. She picks roles that are compelling to her--not for box-office sake.
I'm a flight attendant for a major international airline. I just carried Michelle form New Zealand to LAX. She could not have been nicer. What a lovely young woman. Humble, polite, and obviously a loving mother. A pleasure to have met this lovely lady

Not sure that Michelle Williams is looking for a "hit". She strikes me as someone that is satisfied with a great character. If I ever see her in some romantic comedy with David Schwimmer, I'd be surprised...and a little bit disappointed. Hey, Heath turned down Spiderman to do Monster's Ball. Hits aren't what's important to every actor.

I agree with you on all points! I am not trying to say bad, but i don't see her doing a romantic comedy either. Drama is more to her benefit, I think. I am sorry,I can't picture her in any other role but Alma.Now,i gotta say, she did DAMN well in that role. I think that'll be her defining role. i hope hits are'nt what's important to every actor.I would have little to no respect for the industry if that were the case!
couldn't agree more, you guys. i am just happy and feel blessed to enjoy all those fine performances, both from heath ledger or williams, williams broke my heart as much as ledger did in brokeback and i hope we will see more from williams in the future!
Can't wait for the day when the both of them have Academy Awards! Lord knows they deserve them.
