  • Peter has still got it. I weep for our rap future for my children. Thank whoever I was born in the mid 50's. The 70's and 80's songs seem much better or is it my nostalgia.

  • He still sounds good!!!!!!!!

  • he was born in 1944, he turned 67 in September of 2011

  • Another awesome Cetera song.

  • 男も表現も音楽でない、私あなたの歌手、同じ FA だろうを歌う.@ ピーター CETERA 抱擁.マルコ ・ PC グアルジャ ブラジル

  • THE GUY SINGS WELL EVEN IF EXPRESSED IN MUSIC IF NOT YOU I AM YOUR SINGER WOULD BE THE SAME FA ...@ @ HUGS TO PETER CETERA ...MARCO-PC GUARUJA BRAZIL

  • That's true a little bit JFK

  • I was under the impression that Peter couldn't sing these songs on his own because they were the property of the Chicago band?

  • i cant say i care for this version

  • @333MTB , Well he had to change it up. It's nice t hear Chicago's version but it is also nice to hear him make it his own.

  • Peter here was very accurate with the notes

but he didn't do all the vocals.

    Age ??

  • Come on the ladies love Cetera, you like the ladies therefore you like Cetera

  • @buffspringfield touche

  • @buffspringfield by default i like peter cetera lol

  • i wanna make love to him...lol hes so perfect...ohhh my god...

  • I wish today's music was as great as songs like this one.

  • I love this song! One of my favorites! I was only 3 or 4 when this was a hit!

Oh no! I just gave my age away. 37 in 11 days!!

  • one of the most distinguishable, enjoyable voices in ALL MUSIC

  • This was the first 45 record that I ever bought. I am 41 now and can remember having my mom take me to the store to buy it. This song has stayed at the top of my list. I would love to have another original copy of that song on 45 record.

    This is an all-time classic.

  • what a great song and great performance

  • 10/10

  • that's a nice touch to a chicago/peter cetera classic.

  • yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Peter a little bit older! LOL

  • My Cuz!

  • WOAH-OH....WOAH, WOAH!!!!!

  • ha ha my friend, check out my piano version on my channel and SING to your heart's content. Cheers !! "Woahh ohhh ohh woahhhh - baby wadda big surpise ... DA DA DA DA right-b4-my-very-eyez AH HAAAA WOOAHHH OHH"

  • *sigh*

  • i wonder if peter was ever able to get it on kim keyes' ass.shes super hot

  • FANTASTIC!!

  • THIS IS WHAT I CALL MUSIC

  • Like many artists who go solo, they develop their own unique style that may sound different from the time when they were with a group. Peter Cetera is one of those gifted singers, I hope he's around for a long time to come.

  • saudades de vcccccccccccccccccc, de assistir esse dvd com vc......bjosssss seja feliz!!!

  • Love this Song !!! Thx for posting !!!

  • Christ what mor banal drive.l it might be good to some one with their head up their ass, like someone from norway !

  • i just seen chicago with free tickets, because i would have not payed to see chicago and the current singers that have to take peters place in signing

  • Sounds like the French horn players were having fun with this one...Love the brass.

  • I really like this song. When I first heard it on the radio the chorus just snuck up on me! "Baby what a big surprise!"

    So nice!!

  • Yes indeed!! The chorus is a wonderful hook, thanks to Kim Keyes perfect backup vocals.

  • What song do you consider a good song than?

  • Well, how about "Alive Again" or "Where Do We Go From Here", or "Old Days", or "Hideaway", or "Questions 67 and 68" for starters. And one of their later ballads, "Hard To Say I'm Sorry" is also very good. I got sick and tired of "If You Leave Me Now", and after that song, all the record company wanted were ballads. This is why the "Stone Of Sisyphus" album (recorded '93, released last year) was so great...the songs are intelligent and have LIFE!

  • This isn't the whole lyrics.. He's missing the part "Now and then just like before

I think about the love I've thrown away

But now it doesn't matter anyway".. Maybe he just forgot he's own lyrics..

  • my all-time favorite...

  • a beautiful version, thanks for posting!!

  • Peter Cetera. Thank you for making my good times even better!! God bless you.

  • He phoned this on in.....

  • yeah, agreed. not like the old days at all.

  • Cool arrangement.

  • Peter Cetera is one of the greatest.

  • looks a little bit like JFK

  • @atjas Ha! I agree!

  • This is the best version of this song I've heard. A bit slow in the middle it's true, but his interpretation is more pro with the years.

  • lmao

  • Is that his daughter singing background?

She has been known to accompany her dad.

Cetera/Kath/Seraphine. CTA never the same w/o them

  • The background singer is Kim Keyes. Sweet harmonies, eh?

  • This is my favorite Chicago song...and that is saying something! Thanks for the video.

  • Why does it seems slower then I'm use to... LOL I know it's a ballad & all but its offly slow. ...

  • are you watching this on dial-up? ;)

  • cable baby!!!!!! Yeah!!!

  • i really don't like this arrangement... it doesn't build to anything like the original did, and it leaves out the last verse, which is the prettiest. at 2:00, it's supposed to build to "Now and then just like before

I think about the love I've thrown away

But now it doesn't matter anyway.

    Baby, what a big surprise."

i wonder why he changed the lyrics.

  • PETER FREAKIN CETERA RULES

  • yep PETER FREAKIN CETERA how I love this guy

  • Though I'm not dissing or anything...but did Peter Cetera gain a little weight? He looks more full in the face...still love his music and LOVE the orchestra!

  • Yup I can pick out every single moment when people mess up here (Because my gift is my ear) but this was still a great performance. I mean come on, it's PETER FREAKIN CETERA! I dont give a damn what anyone says. Baby what a big surprise! Peter Cetera is 60-something here and still is amazing!

  • some screw ups in this performance, such as at :36 when you hear the sound guy (or whoever) and at 1:35 when the background singer comes in early on the bridge.

  • The sweet backup vocal by Kim Keyes makes this version a real treat.

  • 2003 if I remember correctly

  • when was this? I'm guessing the past few years... he looks incredible for his age

  • its called face lifts n makeup ;-D just a guess
