Peter has still got it. I weep for our rap future for my children. Thank whoever I was born in the mid 50's. The 70's and 80's songs seem much better or is it my nostalgia.
This was the first 45 record that I ever bought. I am 41 now and can remember having my mom take me to the store to buy it. This song has stayed at the top of my list. I would love to have another original copy of that song on 45 record.
ha ha my friend, check out my piano version on my channel and SING to your heart's content. Cheers !! "Woahh ohhh ohh woahhhh - baby wadda big surpise ... DA DA DA DA right-b4-my-very-eyez AH HAAAA WOOAHHH OHH"
Like many artists who go solo, they develop their own unique style that may sound different from the time when they were with a group. Peter Cetera is one of those gifted singers, I hope he's around for a long time to come.
Well, how about "Alive Again" or "Where Do We Go From Here", or "Old Days", or "Hideaway", or "Questions 67 and 68" for starters. And one of their later ballads, "Hard To Say I'm Sorry" is also very good. I got sick and tired of "If You Leave Me Now", and after that song, all the record company wanted were ballads. This is why the "Stone Of Sisyphus" album (recorded '93, released last year) was so great...the songs are intelligent and have LIFE!

i experienced my first orgasm on June 11th, 2002 when i was taking a dump. no joke. a turd felt so good coming out and all of a sudden i got real tingly and my weiner started heaving!
i really don't like this arrangement... it doesn't build to anything like the original did, and it leaves out the last verse, which is the prettiest. at 2:00, it's supposed to build to "Now and then just like before
Though I'm not dissing or anything...but did Peter Cetera gain a little weight? He looks more full in the face...still love his music and LOVE the orchestra!
Yup I can pick out every single moment when people mess up here (Because my gift is my ear) but this was still a great performance. I mean come on, it's PETER FREAKIN CETERA! I dont give a damn what anyone says. Baby what a big surprise! Peter Cetera is 60-something here and still is amazing!
some screw ups in this performance, such as at :36 when you hear the sound guy (or whoever) and at 1:35 when the background singer comes in early on the bridge.

I was under the impression that Peter couldn't sing these songs on his own because they were the property of the Chicago band?

I just can't help but think Peter Cetera is a total sellout. Songs like this are just.....awful...
cdadave83814 2 years ago
This isn't the whole lyrics.. He's missing the part "Now and then just like before
I think about the love I've thrown away
But now it doesn't matter anyway".. Maybe he just forgot he's own lyrics..
