Why is there a camera crew with the Dahli Lama when he "flees into exile" to India, with the camera set up 50 metres away? For a man's life that is in great danger why is this a staged crossing?
I have a question, is there a limit as to how many Dalai Lama an elder Dalai Lama can discover? I saw in a documentary that China took a 6 year old Dalai Lama that our current one had identified. In that case, is the lineage destroyed or can he find another?
He was not inherited nor elected he was discovered as reincarnation of previous Dalai Lama. That's the beauty of this institution that practicing almost thousand years ago.
Japan will concur china once again in the future, look at their will power in Fukushima nuke reactor. One die hard Japanese equals thousand cowerd Chinese. Long live Jap Tib friendship.
In 1959, the Dalai Lama personally owned 160,000 liang (a Chinese weighing unit equal to 50 grams) of gold, 95 million liang of silver, more than 20,000 pieces of jewelry and jadeware, and more than 10,000 pieces of silk and satin fabric and rare fur clothing, including more than 100 robes inlaid with pearls and gems, each worth tens of thousands of yuan.

to get an insight into how bad things are in Tibet watch
Torture in Tibet: A Buddhist Nun Tells Her Story (3:05 minutes)
watch?v=mhrgb1PHodU
where 15 teenage nuns were imprisoned, tortured and 14 of the 15 died.
The sole survivor tells her story. Just watch the first 75 seconds, as the story is not very pleasant after that.

毛澤東是兩面派 , 一方面與十九歲的達賴簽和約和平解放西藏 ;
進軍西藏後即鬥地主惡霸,美其名為解放農奴; 迫西藏人民反抗即屠殺 ;
結果達賴及隨員大逃亡 , 長期隱居印度.....
