@grumpyjr30 Yes I bought this at amazon, honestly there is not sure way to tell if it is a gray market or not. I can however tell you that amazon is reputable, if there were some legal complications I am sure amazon would not exist today. I hope I answered your question.
@Pharmit24 Some stores do bundle a kit lens with the camera but I wanted a lens with wider aperture. So I just bought the camera and lens separately.
@Pharmit24 Well it depends on the type of videos you will be shooting. Some lenses can shoot wide, while others can zoom from afar. Its up to you on how these lens will be used. If you are not sure what to get, you can search for samples and reviews here in youtube.
@Pharmit24 Then you have plenty to choose from, here are some examples (24-70mm) (28-105mm) (17-40mm) but there's a lot more around. Also, it seems like you will mostly use the video feature, if so, you can save a lot of money just buying the t1i, t2i, or 60d models. Then theres also the 7d which can shoot at 60 frames per sec. and still cheaper than the 5d.

I just checked out Jared polin's channel and you are right lol (and its funny to see other people sniff stuff). Thanks for showing me his channel he definitely has some cool vids!
I see that you're from Hawaii. Cool me too. So how do you like the lens? I just picked up a Canon 60D not too long ago and I'm hoping to pick this up soon.
@drtydzn12 Love this lens, and no regrets at all. the 2.8 just makes it so easy to shoot at low light. It's extremely sharp and gives a nice depth of field. I definitely recommend this lens and would be a good pair with your 60d.

@drtydzn12 Right on. I don't really know of any photo-groups but you can try flickr.com, they have a good hawaii group there and I believe they do group outings. Im probably going to start attending those myself, its always good to meet other fellow photographers :)
