You played this as well as I've seen on youtube, because you played from the heart, with feeling. I love your tempo change, at your will!! Beauti\ul. I play this piece, but you play it with soul!!
When I was avery young boy my late Mother used to play this in order to get me to go to sleep. Your verwsion is very much lke the way my Mother used to play and brings back many happy memories for me. Thank you so much for playing and posting this. . Made my day.
Bizarre, but I will be re-quoting SleepingTurtle1 : My grandmother used to play this ...and she died last week. There is this void and pain in my heart that's still so raw. Yes, you played it so well -- and eerily sounds like the way SHE used to play it !!
I love this song. My mother was a classic pianist. We grew up hearing this all the timne..it was our favorite and she was so graceful playing it. I love how this song builds and builds up to the climax....I miss my mother and I miss hearing this song. It will always be in my heart as my mother is. You did a wonderful job on this!!
This is certainly a very intense interpretation. But "Rustle", while in Am. English means "to persevere", "to rush into" or "to steal", it's original, Br. meaning (from German Frühlingsrauschen) is "to whisper" or something like "subtle sound of treeleaves made by a soft breeze".
Meaning to say: this interpretation is not "Rustle" but "Storm" of Spring. Nice nonetheless, but imho, quite far from the original intention by the composer Sinding.
Very nicely done. I just got the music 2 weeks ago. I am excited about starting to learn it. Any tips on how to approach this song. I certainly has some not so difficult passages and then some passages that will require much attention.
I just love Rustle of Springs. My Mum played this all her life BUT only to the 53rd second of your piece. I even bought the sheet music for her but I still couldn't get her to play any more. Congratulations on such a beautiful piece and lets hope you will still be playing it like she was at 83.
My grandmother used to play this, as did I. She died last week and I was looking for a recording of this. You play well (I used to be a profesional flautist)
Thank you very much for your comment. I played this piece also remembering the famous and beautiful film "A love story" (by G. Ratoff 1939), in Italy titled "Intermezzo", where a very young Ingrid Bergman interpreted a pianist who played this Sinding's piece (soundtrack).
Well... I've never seen the movie, but I've read the beautiful book, and I think the movie was made after this book. Its title is Intermezzo, and the author is George O'Neill. It's beautiful, and thank you for playing so beautiful this song.
Hello, thank you for comment. You must not exchange the stress with the attention. I have a very wide repertoire, which is why I read. There are many pianists who play from memory but have a limited repertoire. In my life I'm not only pianist.
I don't play the piano or any other instrument, but I have a good ear and that was perfect ! However, it would be better if you didn't read it and just enjoy it to add more feeling to the performance. You look estressed when you read it.
excellent anarita !!

Mi fanno paura le persone talentose e le invidio.
E i personaggi, che come me, sono privi di talento....a che cazzo servono?

Yes, a beautiful performance indeed. Perhaps not 100% perfect, but it's the personal nuances that makes it special. Well done!
