PS. Sniping in an Urban setting is a little different. I average 25kills in a 6 hour day with my longest kill at ~200ft. So there are snipers that dominate on the feild and that's where some of the stories come from. Although most are crap and unrealistic
It also helps having a $1000+ TM VSR 10, lots of practice (30,000+ rounds), and playing for a sponsered team. So I don't exactly play on a level plane with many of my opponents.
i have a huge back yard with woods and everything perfict for sniping it in in upstate new york will a gas rifle be good there or would a spring rifle be better.
i was wondering where you guys learned how to make all theses upgrades on the guns and if one breakes how to fix it since you are unable to send the rifle back because of the spray paint
hey, im really interested in this. im 15. i would consider myself a very good player with my 7 years hunting experience. Iv'e already bought a bar-10 sniper and added a scope and bipod. I havnt upgraded yet. i want to know how i can become involved in competition if i live in western washington. I havent heard of any teams.
I'm living in a climate that doesn't fluctuate so much. Should I go with a gas gun or a spring.
Most importantly (to my wallet) which one is going to cost less to get it to a competitive level? (say... 200ft with a straight shot, heavy bb) to get the long range accuracy?
It looks like you have to do a LOT of parts (almost replacing EVERYTHING) in a spring rifle to get it that good. Is it the same thing for a gas rifle?
@bloodless39 you can pull it with little movement as long as youre like i said at least twelve and it kinda kills youre arm after like a mag or two but its pretty decent if you dont think you can pull it all the way while youre shooting throw youre hand away from the gun or youll smash youre finger.
im gonna get the "Double Eagle M50 Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle". Not a great sniepr, at least compared to some of the others i have seen. but between $50-$100 it was the best choice. It shoots 400-450 FPS, all black stock, and comes with a Red Dot Scope and Laser Sight all for $80.
i am a beginner but i usually use an m14 that my buddy owns im looking 4 a new gun and the Well / Warrior L96 is in my price range and looks good do u think its a good gun for a 12 year old and friends backyard war
I am planing to be a sniper in a little airsoft game with my friends (noobs also) and was torn between the UTG M324 (I have a soft spot for M24s) and the AGM/JG ASP2 type 96 (both from evike). The M324 is appealing because it is cheap ($115 total with 3-9x40 scope) and I have heard nice things about it, it also seems lighter than the APS2. I have also heard great things about any type 96, but if I get it, it will probably be without a bipod. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
I think more new players need to watch this video.
Now on the topic of gas vs. spring, i live in indiana (we have every kind of weather here) i have a friend who runs with an EXTERNAL gas tank. He has no problems because the gas tank goes under his arm (kind of like a paintball gun) he gets pretty consistent fps. But in terms of consistency, nothing beats a spring rifle.
Thank for the positive feedback fellas. You can just Google Maruzen APS-2 or Maruzen L96 to find the rifle you want. (By the way, this is Mosin from Team RAGE).
You really gotta know that saying "You gotta know when to hold em and know when to hold em" meaning really only take the shot if you know you can make it,you dont want to give away your position.
number 1 problem i have to say is communication and false shots. get a radio and talk. don't have to shoot. but if you do. MAKE SURE YOU CAN HIT IT. but a radio is proble well needed for a sniper, just a small radio, one with infantry and one with sniper. good help comes from a scout
OK nice video but can you tell me what is a good airoft sniper and I don't what to buy one that actualy cost me 500 dollars. 150-200 dollars would be nice!

dumb and wussy?? seriously im offended those are some dirty words young man.....im going to tell your mommy and and she wll ground you..no youtube for you 2 whole days. :o dude stop.
i am new to airsoft and live in wisconsin w/ a spring rifle(mp001) and it is working fine but i never hit the same spot and i have the sight dead on the target but the bb whont hit it do you have any sugetsions?
most airsoft guns...all of them have a thing called hop up. its a little lever in or on the outside of the gun that can put a backspin on the bb. this makes it more accurate. u can also adjust you scope redicule to whichever direction the bb is going. i just got a L96 sniper rifle and i had the same problem. i adjusted these to fetures today and now it is dead on accurate. GOOD LUCK! have fun!
If you are just starting get an AEG and start as a rifleman like every other sniper would in the army. If you really want to be a sniper you are going to have to spend around $800 to have a competive sniper rifle.
a jg bar 10. Its light and smaller then the l96. Also it won't cost as much if you decide to upgrade later on. Sidearm, I would say a cyma glock, or a nice gas pistol if its warm where you are.
Well i am wanting a bolt action sniper rifle...even though i love m-14's...i would rather have a bolt action sniper rifle in the $200-$250 price range...that is the best fr that range
i got my kjw take down m700 with leapers 9x50 power scope and harris bipod shooting around 550, very nice for sniping i reccomend it for a player who would want to be a sniper most of the time becouse it cost over $300
I am going to put a tight bore into it to improve accuracy, I may also put a 585 or 525 spring on it. If I do this do I havbe to just reploace all stock internals or is it ok to leave it?
What exactly do you mean by modifying the KJW M700 to shoot 550 in the cold? Do you mean tightening the velocity control inside the bolt or did you do something else? I'm concerned because I like this rifle ,but I'm afraid I'll lose a lot of fps and range during the winter; how did you counter the cold?
I hope you're not talking about the UTG M324... Same power? Better gun? I'm afraid not. Be careful with the UTG m324. It's not a bad starter gun, but it's not up there with the L96.
I can't speak for the guys in the video, but I do know that redwolfairsoft-dot-com has a ton of upgrade parts for the Maruzens. Be careful though, their shipping costs are rather high.
Well I can say the TSD m700 would be an OKAY starter rifle for you
Personally, though, I'd recommend the JG-bar10 for your purpose. It's only $30 more, is of much higher quality, and it's much easier to upgrade. In fact, there are many guides out there already on how to upgrade the bar-10 with little to no investment of money.
In fact, there's actually a great upgrade guide for the JG bar-10 with big, clear pictures on my forum (URL is in the video description). See it for yourself - the upgrades are very easy, effective, and don't greatly reduce the life of your internals like some upgrades can. Just something to think about :)
Hello JJbish05, i am a airsoft sniper and i think its time for me to get a new gun. im think about getting the Well MB05 sniper.... is this a good choice for a gun or do you suggest a different sniper? also im looking for something under $200 usd
i'm not going to really argue with you but gas can shoot consitant if you know what to seal my gun has 5 fps devation tops and to stop the freezing thing pocket warmers taped to the bottom of the clip fix that I to live in the snow but you just gota play around with stuff to figure it out.
im a noob at sniping but i would like to get into it. i only play in warm climates with my friends, i tried to put a scope on my AK74 but it didnt work out so well. i do not want to put alot of money into sniping and then turn out that i dont like it, so the cheapest way to go is the UTG L96.
See Unlike a lot of other airsoft snipers I do not believe that UTG is a bad company, however there rifles are poorly made and have short life's lucky if it lives more then 6-7 months. But First peaple new buy the UTG then they see that it sucks buy a better rifle or goes back to using a AEG. But if you are looking into a budget rifle you should try and look into a JG BAR-10 never used it heard that it was a pretty good budget rifle.
yea, in the part 7 video somone told me "FPS isnt everything, even though the L96 has high FPS is doesnt have as much accuracey as the JG BAR-10" first off, the UTG L96 is pretty damn accurate, watch airsoftreviews, they show it and it works really good. but i guess the JG BAR-10 is more accurate, has 400-420 FPS and you can get it to 500FPS for free.
Although I agree that UTG makes some fairly cheap guns, they've been trying really hard lately to come out with some quality replicas. The L96 is one of these guns, as well as their new line of shotguns and their latest M4. The L96 was my first rifle purchased, and well over a year later, the gun still works great. It's taken a real beating, and continues to outperform stock TMs and CAs. However, upgrade these guns and you have a much better rifle, but still. Also, I do highly recommend the Bar.

im a noob at sniping but i would like to get into it. i only play in warm climates with my friends, i tried to put a scope on my AK74 but it didnt work out so well. i do not want to put alot of money into sniping and then turn out that i dont like it, so the cheapest way to go is the UTG L96.
