@sweetestsin71 Lip reading & clear and slow speech then she'd understand you. Also when a person talk you for a very long time then you'd understand them better, you'd understand how they pronounce the words, the accent etc.

Well, she had deaf parents like me - she came from deaf family heredity... That's how she learned her first American Language at birth because we both are deaf
