But then the demo ended one turn away from ending

The 22.75 is the hardest one to break through, there is high ground at the top left square at that location, combine that with a catapult army and you have 36 strength to counter with.

Its not that hard to beat the demo but you can only do it by a domination victory because you only have a limited nimber of turns. just act quickley and create a few legion armies.

i believe jnko74, i got really close to beating the demo. i built 2 horsemen armies before 200 bc, than i attacked shaka zulu, cleopatra, by 1000 ad i had 6 armies and just finished taking care of the aztecs, i probaly could have beaten the game but it took 5 turns to get to alexander and i only had 4 turns left.

i definitely beat it, mine was on cheiftain though cause i couldn't beat aztecs on warlord cause of their darn regeneration stuff, but it's pretty easy, just go balls out legion status, research only bronze and iron then just go gold instead of science and rush like crazy, and always build roads.

you can get the nuke & use it. I was hoping I was the only one to have done it(other have too). try Invading the other 3 major cities and finish the manhatten project go into your city options, hold Right trigher botton, scroll down to "MH project", release and exit city screen bring curser over to aztec & blow them off the face of the earth and win the game.

1st. research university

2nd. build oxford university

3rd. hopefully it unlocked atomic theory

4th. use a great builder to build Manhattan project

5th. you get a nuke

I have been trying but am unable to beat it... I found the 4 lords... and Barbarians.

barbarian villages to the north, ZULU nation to the south east, Egyptians to the NE, Aztecs to the NW, and Athens in the far East.

Just as I get ready to attack Egypt, the game ends.

I found the ancient artifacts just to the south ( Ice area w/ snowman ) and a golden temple to the North East on an island.

Oh well, I will keep trying.

dont focus on defense in the demo though defense is only good in the second dificulty

so u sticked to the safer long ranged unit

so use roads to make the catapult go faster

but i dont know how to get to cleopatra fast enough

send your settlers close to her with an army of horses, build a road to the center city in the middle of what i call the "T" of the map just bellow Athens. Catapults are the key to both Athens and Cleopatra.

The demo is only 2 opponents, and you're limited to like 100 turns or something.

So if you can conquer two cities in 100 turns from nothing, you've beat the demo.

You are playing the PS3 right? Trying to help you, if you see in the beginning part of the video it shows the Leaders crossed out in RED there are 4 to dominate to beat the DEMO as i did. You might mean you are in first and your turns expire, but you didn't beat the DEMO unless you dominate all the leaders. Then the video will play out as above. GOOD LUCK!
