@Dmasterman - Not saying the police custody was right or necessary, just saying it wasn't an "arrest" in the sense that he was dragged out of the club in handcuffs and shoved into a police car and held in a jail cell.
@ilIuminaughty - You keep vying for my attention (leading me to believe you may have some kind emotional or psychological disorder, like the villain "The Riddler" from the "Batman" comics who has an obsessive-compulsive need for attention) and I keep ignoring you but I'll bite just this once.
I'm responding because it's ironic you would say I sound like a Ron Paul supporter given your user name. Lol
@A86 LoI I don't knwo what world your in, but I don't take kindly to your freedom loving shit. I'm the law. I'm the world I'm everything. I am no ron paul supporter I support who supports me. That'd mainly be Obama. But other candidate republicans i can settle for
any country that allows sharia law that easily into their country is shit. and a comedian being arested for insulting someone? Bs. Anti gay tirade? bs. Your country sucks total ass
@A86 under the law that got that comedian arrested. In America you can hurt their feelings and go on an anti gay tirade. You can do that in the States. You can't in Canada. Joe Rogan at first said Canada was more lenient unitl that guy brought it up. Canada isn't that great of a place anymore
So can you in Canada, otherwise comedians would be illegal in the first place in Canada. Can't be a comedian and not hurt someone's feelings. You still haven't cited a particular law that SPECIFICALLY states "hurting the feelings of citizens is unlawful/prohibited/illegal in Canada and the Royal Canadian territories" or something like that.
@A86 It absolutely is but he actually was threatening, which could get him in trouble. I fhe walked around a subway yelling how much he hates whites, go for it. It's legal until he infringes upon someone else's freedoms. If you can't do that in canada that's sad. Joe Rogan was right about you guys.
The reason a person in the US could get in trouble for that under some circumstances is because it's disturbing the peace (or could be considered an attempt to incite a riot if it appears the person is trying to get bystanders to join in). 1st Amendment isn't a "Do whatever I want and get away free" ticket. When you go around yelling like that you violate others' right to peace.
@A86 If anyone called the police on him it would have been for threatening accusations. And disturbing the peace is usualy yelling in places you're not supposed to. Such as yelling at night. And if cops did actualy come theyu'd ask him to leave. Not arrest him. And you're comparing this to a comedy club where people talk.
@Dmasterman - You're not supposed to be acting like that in a subway either. In the US there are laws against harassing a person or people in public places as well as private property.
In a comedy club people talk but you can still also get in trouble if you target a specific person or group for something considered "hate speech". I don't think you'd be arrested in the US, but could be liable for a lawsuit. Like if a comedian went on a rant about how Jews are parasites.
And reported I mean reported to police. So if people in canada get teased and they don't report it htere won't be thousands. But if someone reports their feelings being hurt and report it, then they get arrested. That simple.
@Dmasterman - "But if someone reports their feelings being hurt and report it, then they get arrested"
Under what law?
Again, if you're referring to that comedian who got arrested that was more than simply "hurting feelings". There's a difference between calling someone a "poo-poo-head" and hurting their feelings by doing so and going on a public anti-gay tirade.
@A86 And Jon Lajoie hasn't been arrested because he hasn't insulted anyone.
Also it's LEGAL to call them a fucking cunt. Do you know what disturbing the peace is? That's yelling in public when not asked to do so. This was a comedy club and he addressed her and insulted her. Again it's sad your freedom of speech is going away.
@xIegionx - Hasn't insulted anyone? Lol I think you need to watch his videos. He takes the piss out of most people.
It's legal to call someone a "fucking cunt" but it's not legal to follow them around doing so if they're trying to get away from you. Even things that are legal are open for civil/tort consequences. You can call a politician a "liar" in a news article and they can still sue the author for it even though it's legal to call them a "liar".
You'd know this how? You can't just pull opinions out of your ass that there is no way you could know it as a fact and expect me to take that seriously.
@A86 Because if they did he'd be arrested. That simple. I'm not giving you opinions I'm telling you how your country that you don't seem to know, works.
@xIegionx - "Because if they did he'd be arrested"
That's circular logic because that's an opinion that you have not substantiated so far. So it's not a fact. You can't back up an opinion with an opinion.
peter weller is now 10X cooler now, i apporve with him and everyone else to make a robocop statue in detroit. stallone got away with his rocky statue to stay in philly.
Peter Weller is a living legend, he is robocop a fil character legacy, just like Arnold brought to life terminator. So I would love to see that statue of Robocop in Detroit City. I would love to take many pictures next to it. Go Robocop GOO !!
Technology has really advanced since the 80s. Now they're able to make RoboCop's cybernetics all internal! He talks more normal now and he even has all his hair back! Cool!
Hi. I'm from Detroit. The car industry went down hill years ago. Thousands upon thousands lost jobs not just in the industry. They left the city. The city lost tax revenue. More people move out and more tax revenue is lost. It's called a downward spiral. That's what happened. If you aren't from Detroit you don't know what the hell is going on. So keep you damned mouth SHUT.
@youmatthew1999- I do know how bad Detroit is. The hiring of K.K. was the wrong decision to make. He was interested in helping himself and his cronies. Not himself.
Anyway, there would be tourists interested in seeing the Robocop statue if it was built. I know Detoilet needs all the help it can get.
@JamesGod08 If multiculturalism is to blame, shouldn't Canada be a crime ridden hole in the ground considering we're the most multicultural country on the face of the earth? Yet we have one of the lowest crime rates in Western society.
Hence, Detroit's collapse has nothing to do with multiculturalism. Actually, no problem in the US is the fault of multiculturalism. Instead, what's the difference between Canada and the US? You guys have more Christians. Think about it.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@SWilliamJackson Yeah maybe if you support and encourage stupidity (multiculturalism) then everyone is blinded into living together with so-called equality. But if you don't, then things fast fall apart. Canada also happens to be a fag-ridden degenerate cesspit, which legalised gay marriage. I would much rather support a load of Christian lunatics any day. Canada will be the next London if they aren't careful
@JamesGod08 I was referring to SWilliamJackson's comment. Sounds like an ignorant brainwashed type who listens to haters who blame entire cultures and gays for all the problems instead of considering other sources, like, as you mentioned, blind Christian ignorance. So I agree with what you said.
@xIegionx - I looked up the story and it appears he got in legal trouble for making lewd comments about the heckler being a lesbian. He got in trouble for engaging in what was classified as hate speech. I read about what he supposedly said and if he did say that I can see why he's in trouble. The same thing would probably happen in the US. It's the same reason why Michael Richards got into a legal backlash.
@A86 Actually Richards didn't get into ANY Legal trouble, it just went viral and he apologized for it hoping he'd still be allowed to work. That guy in canada went to JAIL. He didn't even commit a hate crime he just insulted them. whether the woman was a lesbian or not is irrelevant, it's the fact that plain words can get you arrested. You can insult people in the US but won't go to jail for it. I actually heard this on a Joe rogan where a canadian guy talked about that and other incidents
@xIegionx - Yeah, I was mistaken about Michael Richards (my bad). But, I have heard cases where people have gotten into legal trouble in the US over specific insults. Laws in the US about that sort of thing aren't too, too much more lenient than in Canada. In most industrialized countries things considered "hate speech" aren't protected under the law.
I've heard that in Texas it's even legal to kill people for certain insults, such as "Fighting Words". Or at least it was, not sure about now.
@A86 i've never heard any of those things in texas or the US. the worse that can happen is that you get shunned. But arrested? C'mon. You know how many people call each others faggots or niggers? It might not be nice but it's legal. Otherwise I'd be arrested now. However just knowing that in Canada if you hurt someone's feelings it's a legit reason to call 911 an get someone arrested. the only other parts of the world that have this is the mid east.
@xIegionx - It seems to kind of vary on a case-to-case basis. I looked up the law and from what I read it seems to be on the books but only semi-effective:
law (.) onecle (.) com / constitution / amendment - 01 / 42 - fighting - words (.) html
"if you hurt someone's feelings"
Those were insults considered "hate speech". It's considered more than just hurting someone's feelings. Hate speech is kinda similar to the "fighting words" concept.
@A86 This was one case, the guy in the joe rogan podcast spoke about other incidents and supposedly it's illegal to offend someone. so that's kind of tripe. the again canada allowed sharia law int heir country so. ha
@xIegionx - If it was illegal just to hurt someone's feelings in Canada thousands of people would go to jail every day. There's a big difference between just hurting someone's feelings and shouting anti-lesbian rants in public.
@A86 if reported it is. Also even an anti lesbian rant in public shouldn't be illegal. It shows Canada has a lot of laws against speeches since they can call it a hate speech. Even still in the US hate speeches are legal and I can shout my own anti lesiban rants, but if I was in Canada I'd get arrested cause i might hurt a lesbians feelings
Also, making anti-lesbian rant isn't "illegal" per se (at least in the US), but it is sufficient grounds for victims of the rant to pursue a lawsuit against the person making the rant. Freedom of Speech isn't "Freedom from Consequences of What I Choose To Say". I think that's what people like Joe Rogan sometimes don't get. Freedom of speech doesn't mean the government also protects you from what happens because of what you say.
@A86 But the consequences are not the government imprisoning you from it. If that guy did that in the US the woman would bitch and moan but police would not arrest her for it. I doubt George Carlin would do well in Canada doing stand up. Guess thats why he doesn't
@xIegionx - If it's considered harassment or disturbing the peace. For instance, if you got into an argument with a woman and followed her around calling her a "fucking cunt" in public you can be arrested for that. That would be considered harassment, intimidation or hate speech. Which is not protected by the 1st Amendment in the US.
"I doubt George Carlin would do well in Canada"
There are foul-mouthed, politically incorrect comedians in Canada as well. Ever heard of Jon Lajoie?
@cuppajoesugar I think it did well to try and keep the same social commentary as the first two movies. Instead of the fear of the 'Wall Street'-type businessman/machine, it discussed the true fear many companies had of being overrun by the Japanese market.
Ted Nugent AND Michael Moore?! How the piss did they put them together in one movement?! By the way, "Curtis Craig" is the name of "that dude who played 'Booger' in 'Revenge of the Nerds'."
they should redo the scene where the senator takes the mayor hostage, only make it the mayor saying no to the robocop statue and then robocop grabbing him through a wall and punching him out a window...... id buy that for a dollar!
anyone who is a peter weller fan please add me as a friend i love peter weller so much in his movies watching him as a actor his the best actor alive.
well guys Peter Weller was in a TV show called "Dexter" not dexter labs so the main character Dexter who is played by Micheal.C Hall. It is said that in the upcoming Robocop movie Micheal C.Hall will be Dexter. Peter played the role as Stan Liddy. one of my fav chars in the series
RoboCop is one of my FAVORITE movies! Hope that RoboCop statue isn't just some kind of prank. Even though I live in Sweden, I'll someday visit and/or move to either Detroit or NYC :)

@ilIuminaughty - You keep vying for my attention (leading me to believe you may have some kind emotional or psychological disorder, like the villain "The Riddler" from the "Batman" comics who has an obsessive-compulsive need for attention) and I keep ignoring you but I'll bite just this once.

any country that allows sharia law that easily into their country is shit. and a comedian being arested for insulting someone? Bs. Anti gay tirade? bs. Your country sucks total ass
KuKlutsKat 1 month ago
@A86 under the law that got that comedian arrested. In America you can hurt their feelings and go on an anti gay tirade. You can do that in the States. You can't in Canada. Joe Rogan at first said Canada was more lenient unitl that guy brought it up. Canada isn't that great of a place anymore
Dmasterman 1 month ago
@Dmasterman - "you can hurt their feelings"
So can you in Canada, otherwise comedians would be illegal in the first place in Canada. Can't be a comedian and not hurt someone's feelings. You still haven't cited a particular law that SPECIFICALLY states "hurting the feelings of citizens is unlawful/prohibited/illegal in Canada and the Royal Canadian territories" or something like that.
A86 1 month ago
@Dmasterman - "was more lenient until that guy brought it up"
So is he saying stuff like this is perfectly legal in the US?
/watch?v=UonNCaAerl0
Is he saying stuff like that should be or is perfectly legal and the victim of such behavior should have no legal recourse?
A86 1 month ago
@A86 It absolutely is but he actually was threatening, which could get him in trouble. I fhe walked around a subway yelling how much he hates whites, go for it. It's legal until he infringes upon someone else's freedoms. If you can't do that in canada that's sad. Joe Rogan was right about you guys.
Dmasterman 1 month ago
@Dmasterman - "go for it"
The reason a person in the US could get in trouble for that under some circumstances is because it's disturbing the peace (or could be considered an attempt to incite a riot if it appears the person is trying to get bystanders to join in). 1st Amendment isn't a "Do whatever I want and get away free" ticket. When you go around yelling like that you violate others' right to peace.
A86 1 month ago
@A86 If anyone called the police on him it would have been for threatening accusations. And disturbing the peace is usualy yelling in places you're not supposed to. Such as yelling at night. And if cops did actualy come theyu'd ask him to leave. Not arrest him. And you're comparing this to a comedy club where people talk.
Dmasterman 1 month ago
@Dmasterman - You're not supposed to be acting like that in a subway either. In the US there are laws against harassing a person or people in public places as well as private property.
In a comedy club people talk but you can still also get in trouble if you target a specific person or group for something considered "hate speech". I don't think you'd be arrested in the US, but could be liable for a lawsuit. Like if a comedian went on a rant about how Jews are parasites.
A86 1 month ago
@A86
And reported I mean reported to police. So if people in canada get teased and they don't report it htere won't be thousands. But if someone reports their feelings being hurt and report it, then they get arrested. That simple.
Dmasterman 1 month ago
@Dmasterman - "But if someone reports their feelings being hurt and report it, then they get arrested"
Under what law?
Again, if you're referring to that comedian who got arrested that was more than simply "hurting feelings". There's a difference between calling someone a "poo-poo-head" and hurting their feelings by doing so and going on a public anti-gay tirade.
A86 1 month ago
@A86 And Jon Lajoie hasn't been arrested because he hasn't insulted anyone.
Also it's LEGAL to call them a fucking cunt. Do you know what disturbing the peace is? That's yelling in public when not asked to do so. This was a comedy club and he addressed her and insulted her. Again it's sad your freedom of speech is going away.
xIegionx 1 month ago
@xIegionx - Hasn't insulted anyone? Lol I think you need to watch his videos. He takes the piss out of most people.
It's legal to call someone a "fucking cunt" but it's not legal to follow them around doing so if they're trying to get away from you. Even things that are legal are open for civil/tort consequences. You can call a politician a "liar" in a news article and they can still sue the author for it even though it's legal to call them a "liar".
A86 1 month ago
@A86 Then no one reported it. That simpe
xIegionx 1 month ago
@xIegionx - "no one reported it"
You'd know this how? You can't just pull opinions out of your ass that there is no way you could know it as a fact and expect me to take that seriously.
A86 1 month ago
@A86 Because if they did he'd be arrested. That simple. I'm not giving you opinions I'm telling you how your country that you don't seem to know, works.
xIegionx 1 month ago
@xIegionx - "Because if they did he'd be arrested"
That's circular logic because that's an opinion that you have not substantiated so far. So it's not a fact. You can't back up an opinion with an opinion.

So keep you damned mouth SHUT.
youmatthew1999 2 months ago
@youmatthew1999- I do know how bad Detroit is. The hiring of K.K. was the wrong decision to make. He was interested in helping himself and his cronies. Not himself.
Anyway, there would be tourists interested in seeing the Robocop statue if it was built. I know Detoilet needs all the help it can get.

Detroit is long lost to the "enrichment" of multiculturalism
JamesGod08 2 months ago
@JamesGod08 If multiculturalism is to blame, shouldn't Canada be a crime ridden hole in the ground considering we're the most multicultural country on the face of the earth? Yet we have one of the lowest crime rates in Western society.
Hence, Detroit's collapse has nothing to do with multiculturalism. Actually, no problem in the US is the fault of multiculturalism. Instead, what's the difference between Canada and the US? You guys have more Christians. Think about it.
SWilliamJackson 2 months ago 2
This comment has received too many negative votes show
@SWilliamJackson Yeah maybe if you support and encourage stupidity (multiculturalism) then everyone is blinded into living together with so-called equality. But if you don't, then things fast fall apart. Canada also happens to be a fag-ridden degenerate cesspit, which legalised gay marriage. I would much rather support a load of Christian lunatics any day. Canada will be the next London if they aren't careful

@A86 google canadian comedian arrested for insulting heckler
xIegionx 1 month ago
@xIegionx - I looked up the story and it appears he got in legal trouble for making lewd comments about the heckler being a lesbian. He got in trouble for engaging in what was classified as hate speech. I read about what he supposedly said and if he did say that I can see why he's in trouble. The same thing would probably happen in the US. It's the same reason why Michael Richards got into a legal backlash.
A86 1 month ago
@A86 Actually Richards didn't get into ANY Legal trouble, it just went viral and he apologized for it hoping he'd still be allowed to work. That guy in canada went to JAIL. He didn't even commit a hate crime he just insulted them. whether the woman was a lesbian or not is irrelevant, it's the fact that plain words can get you arrested. You can insult people in the US but won't go to jail for it. I actually heard this on a Joe rogan where a canadian guy talked about that and other incidents
xIegionx 1 month ago
@xIegionx - Yeah, I was mistaken about Michael Richards (my bad). But, I have heard cases where people have gotten into legal trouble in the US over specific insults. Laws in the US about that sort of thing aren't too, too much more lenient than in Canada. In most industrialized countries things considered "hate speech" aren't protected under the law.
I've heard that in Texas it's even legal to kill people for certain insults, such as "Fighting Words". Or at least it was, not sure about now.
A86 1 month ago
@A86 i've never heard any of those things in texas or the US. the worse that can happen is that you get shunned. But arrested? C'mon. You know how many people call each others faggots or niggers? It might not be nice but it's legal. Otherwise I'd be arrested now. However just knowing that in Canada if you hurt someone's feelings it's a legit reason to call 911 an get someone arrested. the only other parts of the world that have this is the mid east.
xIegionx 1 month ago
@xIegionx - It seems to kind of vary on a case-to-case basis. I looked up the law and from what I read it seems to be on the books but only semi-effective:
law (.) onecle (.) com / constitution / amendment - 01 / 42 - fighting - words (.) html
"if you hurt someone's feelings"
Those were insults considered "hate speech". It's considered more than just hurting someone's feelings. Hate speech is kinda similar to the "fighting words" concept.
A86 1 month ago
@A86 This was one case, the guy in the joe rogan podcast spoke about other incidents and supposedly it's illegal to offend someone. so that's kind of tripe. the again canada allowed sharia law int heir country so. ha
xIegionx 1 month ago
@xIegionx - If it was illegal just to hurt someone's feelings in Canada thousands of people would go to jail every day. There's a big difference between just hurting someone's feelings and shouting anti-lesbian rants in public.
A86 1 month ago
@A86 if reported it is. Also even an anti lesbian rant in public shouldn't be illegal. It shows Canada has a lot of laws against speeches since they can call it a hate speech. Even still in the US hate speeches are legal and I can shout my own anti lesiban rants, but if I was in Canada I'd get arrested cause i might hurt a lesbians feelings
xIegionx 1 month ago
@xIegionx - "if reported it is"
According to whom?
Also, making anti-lesbian rant isn't "illegal" per se (at least in the US), but it is sufficient grounds for victims of the rant to pursue a lawsuit against the person making the rant. Freedom of Speech isn't "Freedom from Consequences of What I Choose To Say". I think that's what people like Joe Rogan sometimes don't get. Freedom of speech doesn't mean the government also protects you from what happens because of what you say.
A86 1 month ago
@A86 But the consequences are not the government imprisoning you from it. If that guy did that in the US the woman would bitch and moan but police would not arrest her for it. I doubt George Carlin would do well in Canada doing stand up. Guess thats why he doesn't
xIegionx 1 month ago
@xIegionx - If it's considered harassment or disturbing the peace. For instance, if you got into an argument with a woman and followed her around calling her a "fucking cunt" in public you can be arrested for that. That would be considered harassment, intimidation or hate speech. Which is not protected by the 1st Amendment in the US.
"I doubt George Carlin would do well in Canada"
There are foul-mouthed, politically incorrect comedians in Canada as well. Ever heard of Jon Lajoie?
