The music is good and I like the fact that some of the lyrics are canon.

But there's one line that's not:

"And what would you say, my love,

If you knew that I wished he was dead?"

Barty Sr. kept Barty Jr. alive under the imperius, in his house for about 14 years. His son then escaped his control and cast the dark mark. That would have made him angry, but he still kept him alive. He wanted to teach his son obedience. If he had killed his son, that would mean that he would have failed.

1. Mr Crouch didn't want his son dead, all those years before the QWC, because he thought by controlling him, he would become repent. Mrs Crouch believed that Barty could become repentant and so sacrificed herself for him. Although she probably didn't know that her husband would use the imperius. I doubt she would have liked that treatment for her son.

2. After the QWC, Mr Crouch knew that Barty was far from repentance and yes, then I suppose he did want to kill him. Because his wife's reason for sacrificing herself is now gone and it would endanger the Wizarding community to keep him alive. But Mr Crouch couldn't bring himself to kill his son, because that would mean that he had failed to make Barty repentant, like he and his wife wanted.

@CastellanKat Honestly, I do believe he did all that for his son because it was what his wife would have wanted. If he was given the option of his son being dead and unrepentant and his wife alive or his son alive and repentant and his wife dead, he would probably chose his wife to be living. He may have done all that for his son, but he did it on his wife's behalf. Barty Crouch could have easily wished his son dead but that would violate his beloved's last wishes.
