@TheGboyKing I understand what you guys mean and I respect your opinions, but I'm having a hard time believing that they would spend 50 million dollars on a game that they would decide not to release. Those screenshots of bailu village that you're probably talking about are levels that were designed and graphed for shenmue 2. They were simply dropped from the story for timing and reasonable space on the discs. It's like a movie, they'll shoot more than they're gonna use.

So many years have passed, but still Shenmue is the best game I ever played. The scope of it, the places, and the music, transported me to somewhere beautiful, that hasn't been matched since. Such a change from today's deluge of dull first person shooters... Shenmue is how gaming should be, but rarely is.

i played what was going to be Shenmue 3.....well parts of it at a Sega Dreamcast release party along time ago. They did make 3 games but sadly only put out the first 2 I think it had something to do with the sales of the first 2 games. I did read a few years back in a gamer pro mag that the game was put on hold for some reason. Idk if it will come out but you would think it would have by now...=(

@link000000 I doubt your story since they haven't even done anything for Shenmue 3 besides finish the story and look at a few unfinished levels from Shenmue 2 that they may have considered. If you're trying to think about those pictures of ryo in some chinese village, those were unfinished areas that was considered for Shenmue 2 but were left out. each game cost is in the millions, so they wouldnt start development on 3 if 2 hasn't even been released yet. You cant bullshit a bullshitter

This game is absolutely amazing, this is probably one of my favorite songs on shenmue... when i was in junior high i always believed that this game would release, but sitll no shenmue and now im in college, it saddens me when i see a game that was released in the early 2000's and i now play these new games in the year 2009 and they just dont compare to Shenmue... dont give up on this game shenmue fans!!! i sure wont, if i had the money i would produce this game for everyone including myself :-)
